Re: NBA 2K17 Early Copy Thread

I tried for you guys. Thank you for the guys that taught me how to record.

I did 60 minutes with Cavs at Spurs on 12 minutes, superstar. Linked my twitch and youtube accounts. 2K got it on lock. Said I can't upload anything with 2K17 on it. I'm sure it will change when it is released.

I can confirm a few more things after a full game(Keep in mind this was prior to 6.6 gig update)...

    - Too many green releases. I don't care if I'm good at shooting, it still needs a slight bump down and it'll be perfect.
    - New post animations are great for prolific post players
    - Half spin Kobe like fade is in game!
    - Plays develop slower than last year due to the new off-ball collisions...Takes longer for players to get to their spot
    - 12 minute halftime and end of game highlights ARE IN. I'll play one more 12 minute game tonight to see if it holds after one game
    - Too many unnecessary stepbacks by the CPU when they have a wide open spot up shot. Please don't take it out but the CPU needs more contextual awareness. Richard Jefferson WIDE open and pulls a step back..He's a spot up shooter.
    - The POE always seems to reset themselves even if you turn off ACE and adjust during timeout?
    - Your AI moves to the correct spots on the court during transition and has GREAT re-positioning when in a play
    - Crowd is the same
    - Presentation with new broadcasters is a welcoming improvement and a great base to build on
    - The new physicality of this game is amazing. The way a big can impede a PG path and essentially force him in the paint when coming down a court is organic. Don't patch..
    - Auto foul by AI in paint still there but not if they are user controlled
    - Dribbling is live-esque back in the days. Still some hiccups but its light years ahead of 2K16.
    - I LOVE the new animation that has the ball handler fan off the defender once you get past him. Can't suction your way back in front of the offensive player.

Overall, I can say that the more I play this game, the more I realize that the gameplay is dam good. I'm acually excited to play it after I get off of work today. SIM guys are in for a treat...especially offline

AND you can watch the individual highlights in the box score section. One of my favorite things to do!

LBJ plays much more like his real life counterpart this year. Not sure if it was a tendency overhaul but last year he didn't really score against me. More of a facilitator... 26 pts and a slew of rebounds and assists.

              Preordered.

Nevertheles109 sold it for me. Was and still waiting for a response from 2k regarding highlights, but Nevertheles109 came through like a hall of fame superstar.

Just for kicks, consider playing on hall of fame just to see if those step back open jumpers and other concerns you have are toned down.

                  Good point. That'll be tonight!

I got some momentum on my side since I pulled away from the Cavs and won by 10 pts or so. 2K about to bring me down to earth tonight on HOF

I'm hoping I can give you an answer if highlights are in for good after my second game.

If 2K over-patches this game it will be a travesty. There are only a few things that need subtle changes. The instant gratification crowd will groan about things that are realistic, which worries me.

From a offline user perspective, it is heaven. I love all the new nuances of gameplay. The more I play, the more I discover it's what they wanted 2K16 to be.

If this tells you anything, I paid 3x the amount the game retails for... I don't regret it.

All I need is a few hiccups fixed like excessive step-backs, green releases POE selections to stick, auto foul nonsense, and if Daczar adds new plays (and faster development of the branches) as they are ALL THE SAME as of right now for the teams I played with, I'd be 100% content.

Hey Never, based on this did you find yourself running more Freelance Offense or still trying to run plays?

I thought they were heading towards the right direction with this last year.

                          Never,

I'm guessing you still cant go online ??

I'm assuming since no Play Now Online blog was made (like last year) that this mode got very little changes. Probably team filtering, thats it. Yes, I'm assuming here. But if the mode was revamped, I'm assuming they'd promote it. Probably the same as last year with very minor fixes/additions.
