    Re: Player Archetypes NBA 2k17

He's 6'7, 235lb SG (SG for Acrobat). I don't think Slasher suffers as much from higher weight so even though he is 235, he still has 80 speed. I wish he was a little faster with the ball but that's a problem with 2K's attribute caps for the archetype, but he gets HOF One-Man Fast Break so that helps make up for the low speed with ball. I only play Pro-Am so I don't know what works in the park and what doesn't but when I play him in Pro-Am, I'm most comfortable when it places you at the SF position.

The way I distribute my attribute points is usually to leave out a few points here and there in buckets so that I can upgrade another bucket to a reasonable spot.. I look for attributes that I can avoid if they only give 1 or 0 on an upgrade while trying to hit specific marks like 75 ball control. Only lose out on 1 or 2 points here and there but lets you drop 30+ into another. I went with Rebounding because I don't often play with Glass Cleaners and getting rebounds gives you more opportunities for your One Man Fast Break badge to activate and helps make up for your low Speed With Ball. Slashers and Lockdown Defender types make for good rebounders due to their elite athleticism, behind Glass Cleaners of course..

Mine is similiar to this except I didnt drop any pts into rebounding but maxed defense, playmaking and 3 pointer.

I don't think I like my paint protector anymore. The contested layups going in over me are stressing me out too much.

Just take a break for a bit, you tend to play more sloppier when stressed out.

You'd probably go 10/10 with 5 blocks and steal after coming back from your break.

            Re: Player Archetypes NBA 2k17

I have a 6'6 playmaker, 6'9 point forward both with a bunch of badges. I'm contemplating making a 6'6-6'8 slasher to mess around with when I am playing without friends, since I usually run point.

I'm pretty convinced that I'll go with a SG slasher with max wingspan, since I'd rather have acrobat than lob city finisher. Any recommendations on height/weight/attribute caps?

I'm testing my LDD SF (secondary build) in walk-on games.

Even if he's not maxed out yet (but defense and agility are), I confess I'm a little bit disappointed by him.

I don't see enough improvements in terms of defense skills and outcomes (if compared to my first build, a point-forward SF) to justify his huge limitations in offense and ball handling.

And I'm a pretty good in playing defense in 2k.

Well after creating a 6"10 lowest weight slasher. I can say that if you are planning something similar to my build, up your strength and weight. My slasher gets a F quality and misses on almost any type of contact (i have all hof badges and maxed layups). MY strength is a 57. If I could remake him again, I would make him 6"9 and get his strength to 70

I went 6'8 230 max wingspan... very happy with the build...originally wanted to go taller...but now I'm glad I went 6'8

I agree with 6'8, same height of mine, and with max wingspan (I didn't do it and it's the only regret that I have).

But I would suggest 215-220, it would give you a very good speed even if you don't max out agility (I didn't).

I would go with a LBJ build : 6'8" and around 240-250lbs, max wingspan

Minimum weight helps for the speed with ball but except if you're only playing MyPark, I think you would benefit from getting more strength for attacking the rim and defending your opponent

Every opponent I met with a LBJ type build was kinda good

It depends on what you wanna do. I made my point forward like Lamar Odom.

Made him 6'10 220, I believe he has a max wingspan and shoulder with. And I maxed post scorer and then left one off of rebounding. I didn't max agility and I probably won't.

I can play 1-5 with this guy.

I really don't see the point of making a 6'6 to 6'8 point forward.

6'8" height and 224 weight with 84.4" wingspan and 22.3" shoulder width

I tried a few 6'8" point forwards and this is the best one for me.

I have a 6'9 210lbs max wingspan point forward. He is very fast and blocks a LOT of shots. I like him a lot more in pro-am than in park. I often struggle covering the #2 on other teams when I'm paired with a big man, but I am also just about unguardable in park. I like my 6'6 playmaker more for park due to speed on defense.

I still need to understand WHY I keep posting games close to this with my LOCKDOWN, and yet have more shaky games with my damn Shot Creator.

And I also don't get why I'm able to finish as the rim BETTER with my Lockdown when my Shot Creator has the much better finishing attributes...
