sure. they've gotten better. and sure, its not perfect. but the complaints here seem to be very specific. they also seem to be valid when a/b testing previous iterations. So i dont necessarily see how you can emphatically say that they aren't false advertising when guys are here literally comparing audio from previous games and they are coming out to sound the same. i guess we will have to wait for the game to come out to really see everything but so far, its not a stretch to concede that 2K just may be blowing smoke in some of the aspects of their revamped audio, simply based on the comparisons guys are doing to other games.

Because 2K has actually shown some of what they've done and it addressed each bullet. They do have arena specific sounds. The issue is that everyone is assuming because they haven't heard everything that nothing has changed.

some guys are assuming. agreed. but others are full on comparing previous games. that can't go unnoticed. every arena was supposed to be revamped. and if even 1 isnt, then 2K lied.

I had more examples but what's the use lol.

With custom sounds i wouldve done this long ago but for whatever reason those fake drum beats are so out of place.

This is definitely an anrea that needs to catch up to the gameplay

My point is that some users have valid points with the sounds, and some are merely guessing at what is or is not in the game - and that **** is toxic. Because we do not know the full extent of what 2K has or has not done no one can say for sure what did or did not happen. Old chants may be in the game, sure. But there may be a ton of new ones as well that we may not have seen yet.

Your final sentence is a bit much. It's akin to someone saying "2K said they have 10K+ animations in the game. I've only seen 500 via the trailers. They lied." The question becomes how much have you not seen that is available.

Truth. 2K should hire EA to just do the audio. EA is struggling with b'ball, but their audio was always better. IMO.

i think we can agree there. it can get toxic. doesnt really make the discussion productive.

the last sentence wasnt a bit much though. If I've told you that ever facet of the audio was revamped and is to represent the *unique* sounds of each stadium, they all must, as thats what you told me. If 1 doesnt, then this is a lie. The marketing hype should have been, "we're pushing to make it as authentic as possible, trying to add authentic feels to MOST stadiums." then these lofty expectations wouldnt exist.

Live definitely has authentic tem chants.

They even had the lakers we want tacos chant back in 2009.

"Authentic Arena Sound FX" - I know for a fact that for Barclays Center, they got that wrong. Or it's "not accurate".

Commentary has always been cool with me but when it comes to the actual environment at the Arenas, to me that's where they drop the ball.

They probably went to the club that night instead of sitting through a whole game of Nets ball. Can't blame them

The problem is they dont have the authentic chants like they claimed

Its cool if you like it but dont come here telling me thats what they use in the nba and they dont

It took ea 35 hours to get it

2k claims 300 hours of audio

Just played a full quarter at Quicken Loans Arena in NBA 2K17. It's the same audio, imitation in-arena sounds. Still "Oh my God, I just got that!" on away team missed FT, sword swoosh/"Thank you Cleveland" on home team made FT, silence at times during away up... Barely sounds like The Q. Does NBA Live have exclusive rights to authentic in-arena sounds? (Other than this, I'm enjoying the game).

It's literally the exact same audio. 2k has to be dreaming this up that they are creating good crowd sound it's awful in a sport where it's pretty important part of the immersion
