Oh man. Sounds like the issue that was happening when they put out patch 6 for 2k16. Defenders stuck with you no matter what you did. Magnetic almost. I hope that's not the case.

right now I'm just chalking it up to me being completely awful at 2K games (I like them, they don't like me)

No you can definitely slip past defenders if you get them moving the wrong direction. They might catch up and push you a little off course, but if you have an open lane behind them you can usually get into it and score

Random thoughts:

- The Prelude feels alot like 2k16. You arent going to be floored thinking this is a new game playing the Prelude.

- Rebounding animations are great and bring a new aspect to the game.

- PNR defense by the CPU is much improved. As a PG, I felt like I had to make the right decision or it was a turnover.

- No slider or difficulty changing so I have no idea if the game gets significantly difficult.

- Still not a fan of the linear storyline My Career. I'm not interested in watching an entire movie to get to the gameplay.

I havent finished it. I'm at the Championship game. I chose Georgia Tech as my college.

Don't feel that the story will be linear in any way beyond having the teammate.

I can't imagine they won't allow you to neglect him and go solo. You just might have to be a jerk in the option scenes to unlock those outcomes.

I'm scared it will be like last year where you had no choices while you were in the Spike Lee portion of the game.

It already feels that way? Hmmm, not good. Will need to wait until game releases to see what options we get in dialogue, etc. I'll be happy as long as we can make decisions on our own and not have Justice follow us around like a puppy dog.

Like in year 2, if i get traded I really hope he doesn't have to come with me, etc.

Dont panic yet. This is just the prelude. The full game could be different. In the prelude, the only choice you have is what college you want to go to.
