Use behind the back to boost.

I have maxed out my 6,4 Playmaker 94 speed/acc + boost and feels slow too don't worry.

It's not you,it's how the game is now. I can't imagine for another guys with lower than 90 speed omg.

After 2K allowed us to finally skip cut scenes i started
my 2nd Career. I went with a 6'9 Shot Creator SF, trying
to become a scoring machine on the wing, kinda like KD.

But man, i'm having a very hard time with this player.
Playing on Superstar/10 mins, bought no VC, so just
a 65 OVR, drafted #14 by the Bulls. 13 Games into my
rookie season im only shooting 32% from the field, have
yet to make a three and only scoring 7 points per game.

I never struggled that much in MyCareer. Without layups
and backdoor cuts for easy 2s, i probably shoot around 10%
from the field lol. Just had a 20/7/5 game on 47 fg% but that
might turn out as a fluke. Pretty sure i won't get any archetype
specific badges in my rookie year, guess i need to max out
certain attributes first. But i'm looking forward to grind it out
to eventually become the player i had in mind when i created
        him.

I have 6'2 playmaker but mine still feels like he dominates with his speed and quickness. In what situations does he feel slow? I might be able to help. I've noticed through each patch you have to get better with using angles on your attack or cutting players off on defense. It makes for some really nice plays on both ends.

            Haha its your horrible ratings!

Superstar and HOF nurf your stats so you're like at 33% of your potential which is still horrible considering you're 65 overall with presumably no maxed out shooting ratings yet lol

It's the first few steps after trying to accelerate around a pick for example. It feels so sluggish and slow. Like wading through water. It sometimes looks like there is a rubber band attached to you or something, if that makes sense.

I know exactly what you mean. It feels like the fame slows you down so the Defense has time to get in better position.

Yeah that happens to me sometimes. I just try to really gotten defense going into the pick. Most teams in the league like to hedge or ice the pick roll against my team(76ers). I just deny on the pick and pull your kick to the open man or go ISO the big man. I just wish that defenses changed it up it gets too easy sometimes especially when you play the position irl lol.

i'm not sure if it's dependent on coaching style or player ratings, but do any of your guys's teams alter the starting lineup frequently? I'm on the lakers and luke constantly switches out the SG (louis williams and allen crabbe) and PF (randle and amir johnson) spot on our roster. Clarkson's been playing well lately and has worked his way into the starting rotation from time to time as well

Just lost a thriller to the Bulls. D-Wade is left wide open for a 3, with not even a screen set for him to get that open and guess who was guarding him?

                      Justice.

I can't wait to ditch his inconsistent a**

Can happen to anyone controlled by the CPU though but having him as SG if you are PG is stupid since he is so small.

Anyway, I just found out that if you sign with a different team after the Rookie season, Justice will always come with you no matter what. I thought I can play the first season with him and then switch, but nope. Since I'm right before the All-Star break I will ask for a trade to get rid of him. Sucks because we are right behind the Cavs but I can no longer tolerate that Justice takes away the starting spots of real NBA Stars. It's not fun. I think a good team to go to as a PG is Atlanta. I think I would fit right in. Schröder to the bench! I hate those hideous neon jerseys though. Yuck!

Wow. 2K is getting ridiculous with the 'prevent turbo spam' agenda. Charging fouls getting called on the last possession of a potentially game-winning play. Down 1, I'm running the court after getting an outlet pass from my C who rebounded their miss, then the CPU doesn't even get their feet set, just cuts me off and I get called for charging b/c I'm turboing down the court. Lost that playoff match. It's painful to lose on silly calls. Worse than losing to cheese online.

So my Point Forward update. Drafted #2 to the Lakers (yuck) 6'7 SF. max wingspan/shoulders. lowest weight. I went lowest weight because I figured I wouldn't be investing in Strength(8 bars) & Post Scoring(7 bars). In order to max everything else (135 bars remaining if I ever get the Park upgrades). I haven't played with a 0 invested strength player yet this year so im hoping it wasn't a mistake

After 2 games I decided to buy 75k VC because (1. I can afford to, fym & 2. as an adult the grind from 55 ovr is a little too time consuming/not as enjoyable for me.) so im beginning from ~80 ovr. Currently playing on Superstar 12 min quarters til I get used to dribbling & pass timing (I generally play Center). Im going to play this guy pretty organically and see what badges I can unlock w/o grinding. (I have 2 other more or less fully badged characters)

I will be getting traded ASAP once Justice can come with me. Where do yall think could use a Lebron/Tracy McGrady type Point Forward? Im thinking the Timberwolves or the Pelicans (Anthony Davis & Karl-Anthony Towns are my 2nd & 3rd favorite players w/ Lebron being #1). I want a team with ppl who can hit shots (preferably with a solid offensive big man that I can feed)

Also im looking for dribble move suggestions from you guys. Mainly Crossovers as I haven't found one that feels exactly right yet, but lemme know some of your favorites in any dribble moves & ill try them out. Currently a mix of Jamal Crossover/Uncle Drew/Chef Curry

So far im liking this player, I see A LOT of areas of improvement but hopefully once he's maxed out & badged out he'll be a beast. it'll be a semi slow grind (since I don't get too much time off work) but ill keep you guys apprised.

RN im getting a lot of turnovers(~5-7) due to cpu magically jumping passing lanes (off a P& R -_-). my playmaking is maxed so I figure it's an issue with my timing, or the CPU is cheesing lol. ill work to improve my timing and if it persists then ill know its the game (as its known to do on HOF/SS)

I made a miscalculation about speed. My SWB is 94, but my speed is like a 68 and the discrepancy is really throwing me off (on defense, on pass & cuts, etc) so ill be grinding for speed upgrades probably til maxed. I don't overly concern myself with scoring at first. ill probably get those attributes to ~70 so I can hit when left open. I find I can get positional points (screen + cuts & putbacks) and free throws at a decent clip. Once I can consistently use dribble moves instinctively w/o overthinking & average 10-15 assists then ill work on becoming offensive threat.

When I get to Park I plan on being once of those rare playmakers that LOVES TO PASS. cuz god those none passing randoms are the worst.

Anyone who has any advice/constructive criticism its always welcomed & appreciated. Reply in the thread (I check this post pretty frequently) or PM me

On another note I got On Court Coach on my Athletic Finisher and it might be one of my Fav MyCareer badges. idk why those decision are gated behind the PG position anyway. The ability to defensively assign myself on the opponents best player would have been dope on my LDD. I do think that my Point Forward should have had access to this feature from the jump also since its a playmaking archetype but maybe next year 2k lol

I put this in the badge thread, I figure I can ask here too to see if anyone else would know. Trying to get pick and roller on AF, but the AI is frustrating.
