Re: Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread
I HATE MyCareer!
I'm a SF on the Hawks. In one season, this game has managed to change my entire roster. Here are my starters for Season 1 and now Season 2.
FIRST SEASON
PG D.Schroder 78
SG K.Korver 75
SF MyPlayer
PF P.Millsap 86
C D.Howard 86
SECOND SEASON
PG D.Schroder 78
SG G.Neal 73
SF MyPlayer
PF E.Ilyasova 75
C J.Withey 75
Even the worst GM in the history of the NBA wouldn't replace Millsap and Howard for Ilyasova and Withey, let alone the Atlanta Hawks, who have consistently maintained a playoff bound frontcourt for the last decade. You don't even want to see my bench. 12 out of 15 players from my original roster have been replaced. In previous versions of 2K, they would let you keep your core together for at least 3 or 4 seasons. In 2K17, I can't even play one season with a realistic Hawks team? This is BS.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread
And why is online cheating and cheese in MyPark ruining what could be a great game for people who just want to enjoy MyCareer offline?
First they got rid of custom rosters. Then they put a cap on our attributes. Now they put a cap on our cap. And now they're forcing me to play MyPark to get additional attribute points in MyCareer? It's not gonna happen. With all of the changes they've made to MyCareer based on how awful MyPark is, why are they trying to force us to play MyPark when they're admitting MyPark sucks?
2K used to be such an amazing game. It's pathetic that these creators are going backwards and putting restrictions on everything, ultimately releasing a weaker product every year, because they're not as smart as some goofy pre-teen kid who discovers a glitch to exploit an already awful MyPark. I'm done with this game.
Does anyone know if NBA Live is as bad as these recent releases of 2K?Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread
I can only imagine the real life 2K meeting when the developers got together to address the real problems in this game and one of these idiots brought up his Orange Juice idea and they all thought it was genius. This game sucks.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread
I dusted off my old NBA2K13 so that I can use custom rosters in MyCareer and actually play a normal career with no cap restrictions on my attributes. The graphics kinda sucked, but I was having so much fun with my legendary rosters, I didn't care. Then it happened. I completed my 5th game and my console froze. That's when I remembered 2K13 was broken. And that explained why my save slots were filled with MyCareers that only lasted for 5 games. I remember how mad I was back then, and 2K never addressed the problem. They sold a broken game and didn't care. That's why I boycotted 2k14, but now I'm willing to pick it up if it works for more than 5 games without permanently freezing.
Does anyone who played 2K14 remember if you could use custom rosters for MyCareer?Comment

Extra points are not worth it. Ninety-five (95) is the new 99. It's only a bragging right for you to get extra 10 attributes and be called Legend. That kind of grind is almost like a job.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread
Well, I'm gonna be in the minority here, but my career has played exceptionally well for me as of late. I only get doubled when it's absolutely necessary. Teammates outperform me 50% of the time. I sit back, run plays, play high effort D, and try to get my guys going. Currently around 25-0 with Andrew Wiggins returning from a broken leg next game. I even got to taken out of the game early when blowing out the Celtics.

Re: Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread
welp 2k said they fixed an issue where your save would be corrupted after 20 years in the league, but after simming through my 20th playoffs, the game crashed and is corrupted. sighComment

Re: Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread
Season 2. Spurs.
My original team is the Kings and went to Spurs during off season as free agent. Justice tagged along. Denver was nowhere but he visits the loft once a while for some drills.
Now, it's March 2018 and after a 20pt defeat from Timberwolves, Bruce messaged me to see how's it going. Then there is an option to bring Denver back to my current team - from D League!
Let's see how it goes. I wonder who will be kicked out from our full roster.Comment
