Official NBA 2K17 MyCareer Thread

I have signed with adidas but missed their second event accidentally. Will it appear again ?
Some of the events are giving really good money money

Yes, if your open on a three.. mines 74 an am around 40% but just got catch and shoot badge too. Dont just throw up shots with a guy in your face.

82 is fine for mid range, great coming off a screen. Still only a 75 to or for a pull up on the break.

Finally i decided to invest my money in a 6'5 SG shoot creator. I like the player and have good atributes all around. Except rebound and strength but is an SG.

The main reason because i choose him too is because i got drafted in 5 position for the Timberwolves. Towns,Wiggins,Dunn and another great young players looking for a dinasty.

I think im gonna stay in this franchise forever at least meanwhile Towns and Wiggo continue here.

I hope no regret my decision because the outside shoot its average mid range is good because the badge and boost. I was doubt with a sharpshooter but except the mid/long shoot the SC is better overall. Faster,better in close shoots and off dribble and a little bit better too in handling and post shoots etc

Thanks for your answer. Good to hear that. I still can improve the 3pt at 77 with the boost so not bad at all.

How do you get the catch the shoot badge ?

Taking shots straight off a pass, as soon as i receive the ball. Dont pump fake, or jab step etc.

Shoot as soon as you come round an off the ball screen if you have some seperation. Auto play calling helps as am often not the ball handler. The wolves are deep at the guard spots.

Often my player has some space if am on the opposite side of the key to the ball handler, spreading the floor.



Not much to it, just playing how i have naturally played. I can only get a bronze as a playmaker pg.

Could be possible, you will just need to tank in the college games i guess and dont add any VC to your player.

Foul out and while you have the ball throw up full court shots maybe.

So here's my issue. I have a 6'11 PF Stretch Big, and while he's a 3pt shooter, I'm finding that it's hard for him to get open because he's so slow. And the CPU defense sticks to me like glue. I also have like zero dribbling ability.

I'm thinking of start over again.

Guys, what archtype has really good dribbling and is really fast? Would it be shot creator? Should I make a PG or SG? Also, what height? 5'8 for the speed?

Yeah the defense is a lot better this year it seems like. I'd say the best for dribbling is Playmaker #1 and Slasher #2. If you don't really care about shooting threes then Slasher is great. That's my build and I love driving to the hoop. You basically make every layup plus once I get badges it's gonna be ridiculous lol. Playmaker is great is you wanna be average or a little better than average in most of the categories. I haven't tried shot creator but honestly the shoot off the dribble is kinda mis leading. You can't just do a dribble move and shot. You actually have to be in a run or sprint to trigger it. I don't know is that archetype is worth it. And don't go short. Make the height 6'3" or 6'4" for a PG. Your speed and speed with the ball will be in the 90's fully upgrading as a playmaker. Speed with the ball is a weird rating I think. My Slasher feels just as fast as a playmaker but speed with the ball is like lower 80's. Really just depends on how you wanna play. Don't go short though!!!

I've heard the +1 boosts are permanent but not 100 percent sure. I would think they are since it's only plus 1 each time.
