Update 1: 7'3" 340lbs "Glass Cleaner" C drafted 1 to the Sixers game 15...
- The roster logic this year is still off. They put my guy in as starting PF with Okafor (5" shorter and 110lbs lighter) at center.
- Big Men are easy this year. Averaging 30pts and 15 boards a game with 21 minutes played. Rated 59 on SS.
- I am now in the reporter practice cut-scene loop where every practice I attend the reporter is asking me if I want to start drama.
- The time-out cut scenes with the coach are still annoying this year.
I like this year's story-board MC better than any since switching to this format but it still leaves a lot to be desired for me personally. I like the Michael Jordan character and I like the clown character too .. I just enjoy the last generation sand-box MC much much more.
I can't figure out a perimeter player arch-type I like. I love playing defense but this year's Lock Down Defender seems orientated to an inside big and the outside perimeter guys don't mess with the stats...
The biggest lame thing is the draft selection being weighted so heavily on points. My guy averaged 5 steals and 3 blocks in college and was dropped into the low teens ... really?
I also am getting annoyed with two ai "helping" actions - the first is whenever I enter the paint, and stutter step, the ai assumes I want to post-up .. this causes 3-second violations because the animation is just too slow to break out of.
The second thing I'm getting tired of is my "Sharp-shooter" insisting on trying to drive more times then not - I get that the developer in charge of My Career thinks everyone wants to be Michael Jordan and Westbrook but enough is enough.
Its like the minutes played - yes Jordan played 48 minutes but that was last century! This century, people rest their bodies and don't overuse minutes... I don't get why 2K is so current on their plays and schemes but on the rosters, time-outs and such they continue to act like 1999 practices are all the rage.
