I took my MyPlayer from last year and pretty much copied all the attributes. He was around 94 overall when I started but thats probably inflated because I put his passing up higher than normal. I pretty much made him a defensive beast that could get rebounds and make dumb kick out passes. He might get a shaq like dunk every now and then.

Do what you want though. it's basically MyPlayer mode but with sliders and no Spike Lee so 100% better.

Hey do you know how to use my scanned face on a created player?

There was an option to practice it once in the practice sessions (triggered by standing at the free throw line) but I have not been able to trigger it again. I also saw a post that these improvements are not staying permanently and that a patch will be incoming to fix that.


FT are the most annoying aspect of the grind this year. I get that they wanted to make it more "fun" for people but it is most tedious part of the game now for me.

yeah they messed it up bad. you can only practice fts at team practices, which don't happen a lot. and you aren't even guaranteed an upgrade from it because the game is broken

I made a 6'0" shot creator PG and got drafted 7th by the Nuggets.

I play superstar 10 minute quarters.

Me and Justice were inserted into the starting lineup at about the 19th game. Prior to that I was putting up about 12 ppg and 3.5 apg, but we were like 8-11.

First game we easily won vs the Thunder. I did a decent job containing Rus, and I put up 16 pts 11 assists. Justice led us in scoring with 24.

Second game we lost to the Rockets though. The AI defense is unbearable at times. Justice is supposed to be a lockdown defender, but the boy needs GPS or something because he cannot stick with anyone coming off screens. Dude always gets lost. Harden had a field day.

I've unlocked spark plug, pick and roll maestro, and...enforcer? But I'm like 180 lbs, what kind of enforcer is that?
I wanted to just play realistically and let the badges come, but I bit the bullet and dropped to rookie to farm badges.

I elected to run with Nike because that is my brand, but still tier 1.

Oh and seems like Freq's girl has had to take a career change since he is out of the league. She is a reporter at press conferences lol.

And I still hate the bipolar nature of our responses to interview questions. DA interviewed me once and one option said that I was playing well. Well since I was I selected that and my player went off about how he was unguardable and there was nothing anyone could do.

Anyway, gonna continue with rookie and cheese the AI until I unlock ankle breaker and difficult shots. Hopefully it doesn't wreck my season though. Played one game on rookie and finished with 38 pts, 15 steals, 22 assists and we won 124-43. I'm a sim head so it was not fun, but this is how we gotta do it because of the park kids.

I've actually taken a break from My Player cause it's just not a fun mode for me anymore, especially since I traded myself to a different team without Justice. It really breaks the mode and the immersion. I've went the created player route and in MyGM now but yea I agree with you.

My Player is geared for the My Park players so they can grind and grind their VC to be competitive online.

Why don't NBA2K have the tattoo feature in create player for MYGM?....This was a popular request on many fans wishlist. I would love to add tattoos to my created players in my draft classes.

I never been a real big fan of MY Player and this would have been a great feature to add in this yrs game.

Now I sent Sam a message and I might as well quote it here instead of repeating myself:

I do have a question though. I have checked your tutorials in terms of creating a position/archetype combo that can be successful. I'm a bit torn between the Glass Cleaner and the Post Scorer you showcased. I always loved to play Center the years before since I really enjoy swatting shots and rebounding and just being a big guy . However one think that irked me to no end was that, even though guys like Dwight Howard, Andre Drummond and KAT and to some degree even an early Shaq, could, can, did and do run the fast break and are very quick and mobile my Center in NBA 2k always felt like a bus to move around the court and was therefore extremely outmatched in the park. In your opinion, what would you say would be the best setup for me? Should I even go for a center? Or is it a waste, if you go for a big man, not to go for a center instead of a PF? Or might a tall Small Forward be more what I'm looking for? Personally I'd like to have a center that is mobile and fairly quick for his position but still can be a very good defender and rebounder. I'd also like to have a decent set of offensive skills. Last year and the years before it felt a bit boring on offense since all you could really do was post up which felt out of place for a lot of offenses and slowed them down too much. So personally I would like to be able to post up decently, play the pick and roll decently and have a decent to normal midrange shot so I can drain the occassional open jumper or fadeaway from a high post up position. I don't necessarily need a 3 ball since I prefer playing more of a banger.

So since it will be a terrible grind to get enough VC to actually play a nice career I wanted to get as much feedback as I can so I came here. I hope some of you have an opinion on the matter and maybe some suggestions. I just don't want to make a Center that sucks and kick myself for wasting VC I grinded for for like 50 hours to get it .

Anyone get multiple commentary teams? I've only had Steve Smith twice for both golden state games.

I've played 17 games iirc. 15 have been Harlan/GA/Brent Barry (I'm on the Nuggets), 1 with Steve Smith instead of Barry, and 1 with Chris Webber instead of Barry. David Aldridge has been the courtside reporter every game.

anybody been bumped up to level 2 with nike after starting out at level 1? i'm 45 games in, done all types of meetings and events with them but haven't got it.

I'm about 30 games in and having the same problem leveling up. This feels like it's taking way longer than it should. I wish they would've just told you from the outset that Nike shoes wouldn't be free while the others are. If I knew that, I would've just picked something else to avoid spending vc or wearing generics.

So I switched from Adidas to Nike, but when I go to the nba shoe store it still only shows Adidas. Anyone else have this prob?

Yep happened to me as well. I switched from Adidas to Under Armour. Started on Level 3 for UA, but can still only wear Adidas

Hey guys,

i got a few questions about the jumpshot creator and shoe deals.
would really appreciate if someone who already unlocked it
could answer this.

Since you can save your jumpshots you create, can you use them
if you start a new MyCareer with a new player?
And how many jumpshots can you save? is there a limit?

Also, did someone already get lvl 3 on his shoe deal? how does
the personalized colorway work? can you edit colors on every
available shoe of your brand?

I'm thinking about starting a 2nd MyCareer but if i could use
created jumpshots and personalized colorway shoes (i hate
black shoes) from my current career i would unlock
these things first.
