Re: NBA 2K17 Pro-Am Discussion Thread

I do not understand the logic behind the VC payouts this year for Pro Am.

Why do we get 800 VC for walk on victories but only 500 VC for club victories? Shouldn't the game be encouraging people to form a club instead of freelancing? I feel like those VC amounts should be reversed.

It also makes no sense to get more VC for winning a MyCareer game on rookie difficulty than you'd get for beating 5 human opponents in a club Pro Am game.

I also agree that the shooting percentages are insanely high right now in Pro Am, and that's without most people having all of their badges and ratings maxed out. I shudder to think what it will be like in a month when everyone is fully maxed.

Builds with three point ratings in the 60s and 70s are able to make 50% or better from behind the arc just because the badge bonuses are so powerful this year, even at a bronze level.

The combination of bronze catch and shoot + deadeye + limitless range + corner specialist + dimer + screen outlet + hot spots is enough to make playmakers, slashers, and defensive stoppers highly efficient three point weapons right now.

yea... at first I thought we were only gonna get 5 badges total haha. Which was a welcome idea.

want me to go on a sharpshooter, take 3 steps back, close my eyes and shoot 100 greens in a row?

that's how easy the shooting is currently.

This is actual 3pt percentage when WIDE OPEN

i would love to see you get 100 greens in a row from 3 steps behind the three with your eyes open haha. but all jokes aside maybe don't leave shooters "wide open". yea the percentages maybe high this year (2k15 and 2k16 open 3 point % was high also if you knew your form), but why would you leave a sharpshooter (curry, klay, korver, reggie miller) wide open? better defense might help the cause.....

You're a sharpshooter, right? There are an insane amount of videos showing that these 3's are out of control. Plus these Sharpshooters can Bam on people, Shoot off dribble, and handle the ball. I TOLD Y'all THIS WAS THE CURRY BUILD.

Why do you keep assuming the shooters are being left open?

Is there any 6'7 point forwards how do you like your builds?

Also if going glass cleaner on a 7'3 guy default weight or max which do you guys find best?

More than likely to encourage and try to force people to buy VC if people see that their friends have better myplayers than them or that they are lacking and need better myplayers in order to compete better and so they don't look bad to their friends. People that play walk-on may not care as much they might figure.

2k just keeps pushing the VC envelope year after year to see just how far they can take it. Giving less, while expecting you to either spend way more time playing or hoping you just give in and buy VC and send them more money.

heaven forbid they make their system like EA's pro-am mode where you have to earn all of your attributes by actually playing

5v5 and you only get better based on how well you do.

I only addressed greens when wide open. Their contested percentage is ridiculous also.
