So my three maxes at 55. My midrange maxed at 74. If I max my Shot off dribble I get 83 close , 74 off dribble Mid and 74 off dribble three . Kind of weird lol

which it should be! it makes the LDD build worth something.

i swear once i get my PF to 99 and master the post game my second character will be a LDD PG.

if this is the case (LDD, shot contest is way better than the rest) i love it!

it would almost ensure every team has to have to one to matchup against the other teams best scorer - i love it lol

I've never really ventured into Pro-Am on 2K17, so for a 'rookie' in this department, is it something that can be enjoyable on 2K17 or is it full of cheese like 2K16 was?

No matter what 2k does, people always find a way to play the game like idiots.

Spam steals, turbo, and pay-to-win make this mode an absolute joke as far as a balanced eSports experience.

This happens in every game. From Call of Duty to Madden. Anything with a competitive multiplayer people will exploit. It's just a fact of gaming

Not MOBAs. They don't do pay-to-win. If they tweak, detailed notes.

COD is not pay-to-win and Madden doesn't have a single player team-up mode. Even in ultimate team modes you pay money for packs...where you might not get anything. ProAm...you pay...you are instantly better than someone else.

This is why MLG will not accept ProAM as a form of competition. Only Private Team-Up and 1v1 are counted and recolonized.

I get if you, or others aren;t into competitive gaming...but from someone who plays MOBAs for money...but loves basketball...really bummed that they still allow this sort of stuff and call it eSports anyways...because half of the people who play the game speak in emojis, how can they be expected to learn complicated systems like a MOBA.

And with new banning system in place...

Pro Am Walk-On is play whole game, getting possibly placed with AI teammates right from the tip because no consistent way to play walk-on with frends, then get no VC, Stats or Rep...and if you quit you get banned.

Pretty close to a broken system rendering it pointless.

I am not into MOBAs so I can't speak on that. I do know that call of duty, MKX,Street Fighter. All have things that are abused in competition. In every game people find what works the best and they use it. COD players use the best guns. MKX and Street Fighter players use only top tier fighters. There is no pay-to-win system in 2k. That implies they can get something you can't(without paying) that helps them win.

Man he was such a good center for awhile then everything just went downhill. Like Danny Granger.

Pay-to-win game models are selling advantages through micro transactions, that players not paying, would have to spend time playing to accomplish. Buying enough VC to instantly max out character, gives player an advantage over others who have to play the game and earn the VC. Gives player advantage that has nothing to do with skill or strategy, just they spent more money. Many games do do this, but they don't call themselves eSports. COD eSport matches are you can pick all guns and whatever you want. Don't have to level anything up, pure skill on what your choose and how to choose it.

VC's implementation into Pro Am is 100% an example of a pay-to-win game model.

CODs do have packs you can buy where you get guns early...but they are still locked behind lvl requirements. VC is equivilent of letting people buy XP in COD, so they can be LvL 40 instantly, and have access to all guns instantly, and be able to prestige way quicker, making them seem skilled and that they earned it, but all they did was pay more money, and had advantage over other players because of it.

My squad played 3 games last night and got creamed as expected. All teams we played were already maxed out. I hope they fix matchmaking. You can't simply match mid-70's players against max players. UNLESS, everyone in Pro AM are already maxed out.

Good post man, if 2k is serious about Pro-AM being an esport they are handling this all wrong. I played like 30 hours this previous weekend and was like 63 overall but you have people who spend like $50 and got there guys to the 85+ easily. So when it comes to Pro-AM and racking up wins to qualify these dudes who spent the extra $50 essentially have a head start.

All games have top tier characters, items, guns, etc. but NBA 2k is the only one where you can pay for one. The other ones you get them from the start or you earn them organically through progression.

I like the NHL method where they already have pre-build players based off positions and playstyles and you pick one for that game, that would work in NBA 2k if they wanted to do something more serious and legitimate in the world of Esports.

Same here, and it got to the point for me where if you cant beat them join them and I ended up buying VC. I put like 30 hours and was only in the mid to low 60s, the grind in MyCareer is too real and it sucks that that's the character you need for Pro-AM.
