I'm reinstalling it just to check but I'm pretty sure if you downloaded through NZ account but played the prelude on your normal account in US or whatever you won't lose any progress

Best feeling NBA2k control for sure. Very responsive controls for the time being. There are definitely some zip to the passes, sprinkled in with some lobbish ones. Don't have any issues with shooting. It's 2k basketball, but a new 2k basketball.

Let the honeymoon phase begin.


EDIT: For any developers reading, please do not tone down the steals. If one times it right, and one makes contact with the ball, it should be a deflection. Swiping at the ball and nothing happening just seems awkward. People may talk about spamming the steal button, but that means, it's time to move the rock around to your teammates rather than always isoball. If you're going to give the offensive ball handler the ability to string together dribble moves and cross up the defender, the defenders needs the ability to counter.

Scanned my face. Waiting for the prelude to finish installing, but did finish 2KU and I'm loving it so far. Saw a rebound where the C just batted out to a player. Some a lot of steals, but that can be fixed with sliders. Also when I stole the ball, the player who got stripped didn't act like he got punched in the stomach. I was worried about having to time your layups, but I absolutely love it. Making a tough layup feels very rewarding. I did see a dunk that didn't look great, but the defender I beat to get to the hoop was over playing me to my left side, so it was nice to blow right by him.

Also I want to thank everyone at 2K for even letting us have this Prelude. It was not necessary for them to do this. This makes up for the lack of gameplay. Thank you very much.

......one last note for Xbox One version......ACHIEVEMENTS!!!!!

So I load up the game and go into 2ku, and I noticed that you can't sprint on defense like on offense, instead it's more of a jogging animation. Had a few instances where the cpu had a fast break and even though I started close to the offensive player, he sprinted away from me. I was a shooting guard and the cpu was a damn power forward

Wow... The bigs hustling for deep post position in transition is the finest addition for me at least for now.
It adds a whole new dimension to freelance offense : you can throw them the ball with your PG, you can play high - low with the other big.
Spacing in transition is really impressive now as a whole!

By the time I get out of work and actually install this with my dial up ish Internet the actual game might be out lol. Love reading these impressions. Like others have said, hope it's forreal and not just a honeymoon phase.

I think its a bug not everybody have it

I fixed this change r2 to r1 in ps4 options.

Where's the option menu? The game isn't fully loaded, I only have the 2KU.

Turn on ps4 go to options and you find it
