For step backs(in any direction) point your LS in the direction you wanna step back in and tap X simultaneously (square for ps4) this will put you in the step back jumpshot gather animation. While this animation is happening you have plenty of time to shift your thumb back to R STICK to pull down at 6 o'clock, thus being able to do step back jumper animations while shooting with the new pro stick.
Try it in 2ku it's fairly easy to time.

And yes jump shots are absolute except fade aways holding the post up button (L2 or LT), I believe these are relative even if you shoot with pro stick as long as post up button is being held.
    Thanks.

Just simply not understanding why they chose to have ONE type of shot absolute. It's the most puzzling thing.
Shout out to The Watcher! Where you at bruh?

Was I the only one not impressed by his dribbling? I guess I expected more for some reason. Good vid nonetheless. The combos are going to be real interesting this year. Park players are going to get a good glimpse of crossover 16 again like the 2k15 days. Lol be prepared.

Can anyone attest to this being a possible move you can now make in 2K17? Essentially creating space with the threat of a drive - in particular if you get a big switch onto you?

From what I've viewed I feel like it's kind of possible. But I guess I'm looking for assurance....

I would say yes in the 2KU the CPU will give up certain things and you can create realistic separation like that even against guards. Sometimes Scott OG will play the drive and give you the mid range. I haven't been really matched up against a big because they don't switch the picks.

This is to me the best user controlled dribbling in the series. It gives the game a much more creative feel. The CPU when dribbling is no slouch either number 12 in 2KU is nasty with his too.

Thanks for the feedback man. It's looked a lot like what you're saying is true from the great vids on this thread - which really excites me about getting the full game this week.

I didn't get Prelude as I am not a MyCareer/Player guy so figured the full game fresh would be more fun for myself.

Hype level just raised a bit just from this thread alone. The dribbling looks great this year!

Can be done but won't be as quick using the standard between the leg while walking. Some iso moves might have a quick between the leg dribble but you would have to pause and let go of the left stick.

John Wall has something quick like this from what I've seen in the animations.

Edit - Pull backs and hesitations are the best space creators while walking. Can't really explode like in video.

Haha yeah. He had many more videos that were just as good. Tbh he made people look even more skilled than they were because he was so good.

I've been practicing quite a bit in 2ku these past few days and i'm finally starting to get the hang of it. Never was very good at it in previous 2k's. Have to admit it's pretty enjoyable (and of course frustrating at times trying to figure it out) beating the defense with some of these moves and counters.

I think i might just make a 6'1 playmaker pg now, White Chocolate 2.0
