Yeah that's my stick work. SHIZNICKMASTA is my most common gaming account stemming from high school days before online gaming was much of a thing. Planning for BQ Productions to encompass other genres as well in the future as I am just getting into video editing.

#1 on 2KU plays like a My Career Playmaker would and he's got decent size too. I like the all-around layup effectiveness.

Thanks for the heads up, I actually haven't made a my career player yet, just spent all my time in the U. Last year I was a pass first point but this year with the new separation ability and stick control I will prob make a character that plays closer to #1. I plan on taking pro-am seriously this year.

Well that's really, really good and impressive. I am going to sink my teeth into learning the stick moves for each position this year. Seeing that video I am inspired.

Any good tutorials out there?

This is great. I've never been a great dribble stick skills guy, and when I tried to focus on it more last year I didn't really succeed, because I found it so hard to get past those suction defender animations, and I don't play a lot of iso ball anyway. This year from the Prelude I feel much more able to create off the dribble and am looking forward to practicing and getting better results.

I have some questions for the OP and anyone else, though.

When you're breaking down a defender, tell me about what you are focused on to set him up. For example:

• What part of the floor do you like to work from and why?
• How much space do you really want to have to start off?
• What is your eye focused on in terms of reading the defender's reactions to your dribble actions and at what point to you make the decision to attack?
• What particular moves if any do you like to use in different spaces on the floor or in response to the defender's body reactions?
• What are you looking at in terms of pick and roll defense by both defenders and what decisions are you making about how to attack as a result?

I notice in my own messing around that I have less variety in what I do than I see in the video, so I know I need to diversify. Some of that means just getting more practice to make different moves more automatic and intentional, not just spamming dribble actions to see if something opens up.

I also notice I don't use pick and roll as creatively as I could. For example, I see some spots in the video where you do more dribble action breakdown of the defender before ever making use of the screen. Simple idea, but I haven't been doing it. I also tend to under utilize the pull up game from mid range, maybe also because that was so hard to do last year. Looking at each sequence in that video and really noticing all the actions/options available will help me expand my arsenal, I'm sure.

For example, I think I'm actually going to list out all the ways/options to use the pick and roll/pick and pop set up on paper this year so I can remember and practice all of them, so I can react without thinking in a game. Too often, I make a decision about what I want to do before I make the play and I'm not dynamically reading what the defense is doing.

I really appreciate hearing that man, comments like that make putting the effort into the video worthwhile. Not sure about tutorials, Maybe that could be my next video giving tutorials for the stick moves off the dribble and for the post. Maybe do specific players that most people will use since players have signature moves and will branch differently. Even in 2ku there was a big difference in branching moves with the pg vs the sg.
