Right. ESPN would have a field day with that subject as they did this past NBA off season. I messed around with the cap a few times to make sure I was not dreaming. Seems like the 90's rated player ask for over 300 million a year and the 80's rated players ask for 200 million.

One flaw with starting in the off season is that a lot of coaches from this season are not available to be signed. No Jeff Hornacek, Mike D'AntoniGamer Tag : Brooklyn AlumniComment

I think I'm going to stick with MyLeague mode. The owners changed a rule in MyGm mode and that just froze the game.
I only like MyGm because of the interactions with the media, coaches, players and it gives me something to play for. It feels like I actually done something when I create a Dynasty in MyGM mode and it reflects in tickets sales and etc.
I wish there was a good medium between MyLeague and MyGM mode. Where you can have more control and still have those interactions.
Same thing happens mostly every year at release, a lot of things get fixed or attempted to fix, some things dont, but its early still.Comment

they need to get rid of MyGM and put those RPG elements and all the stuff in MyLeague - optional of course, not everybody likes the interactions and stuff.
Make it one mode where I decide how I want to play and EVERYBODY will be happy.Don´t play video games, play BasketballComment

This is my only real gripe with ML so far. I was expecting those guys to be in the league when I selected "Start in Offseason", but they're nowhere to be found. Fizzdale (Grizzlies coach) and Atkinson (Nets coach) are MIA as well and though I've never been a stickler for coach accuracy, it does bug me that they're not there.Comment

re: **2K17 - How's your MyLeague/MyGM going?**
MyLeague is the franchise mode in NBA 2K like what's in The Show in a lot of ways (minus carry-over saves). Honestly a toss up in my mind which is better overall, the advancements in ML this year have been bigger than I predicted.
MyGM is like an RPG version of MyLeague; you're put in control of 1 team (as opposed to having the option to control all of them in ML) and you can only be in control of 1 team at a time in MyGM. In that mode you're subject to the whims of your owner who will set goals for you to accomplish each season and, if you fail enough of them, you will be fired.
You'll also have to deal with players/coaches in terms of meeting their wants and needs, as well as manage the fan experience and make a profit for your team (and yourself as you earn VC in that mode). If you want to avoid the owner goals, you can buy the team you're the GM of for a large amount of VC (it was 50,000 VC in 2K16) but that is, again, for that one team.
MyGM has some features -- like the player/coaches sit downs, interactions -- that MyLeague doesn't, but the absolute freedom you have in MyLeague and the ability to customize the league at any time by rebranding all teams, some team, moving some teams, expanding the league, and manipulating the rosters via editing makes MyLeague, in my opinion, the far superior experience. But it's definitely more time-consuming if you really get into it.

re: **2K17 - How's your MyLeague/MyGM going?**
Just created my Philadelphia 76ers MyLeague. I'm using Poke's Sliders and used the same ML sliders from last year, except with a few tweaks. I also moved Ben Simmons to PG as my grand plan is to run with a taller lineup to combat teams like the Warriors (Simmons-Bayless-Covington-Saric-Embiid). Finally, I traded Jahlil Okafor to the Bulls for Nikola Mirotic and a 2017 1st round pick (top 3 protected). Should be a lot of fun as I'll be playing a bunch of games in the 1st season until EmbraceThaPace's draft classes come out.Comment

I started My League Off-season with my Celtics, wanted to change the draft mainly. Took control of teams I needed to so I could get the main guys on teams they are supposed to be on, wanted all the big FA deals done.
Redid the draft and the Celtics ended up getting the 1# pick so I drafted Simmons and picked up Brice Johnson with my later pick. Enjoying it so far for sure. I did trade over ride and whenever the CPU makes a trade I have say so if it goes through or not.-= Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.=- Edward MurphyComment

MyLeague is great but I would like the guys in charge of this mode and MyGM to take one year a focus mostly on presentation. I would like a Sports Center type show and MyPlayer type cut-scenes for some of the off season task, something to make the league feel more alive and vibrant off the court.Xbox Series X: KILLMUNGERComment

So I need some help.....I did league expansion and drafted Spurs rookie Dejounte Murray.....he has an 80 potential.....my question is what training should I use for him? Do I attempt to make him like a poor man's Westbrook or make him into a off brand Steph Curry?

re: **2K17 - How's your MyLeague/MyGM going?**
I'd go with Curry as his comp. The speed that Westbrook has is otherworldly in-game and Murray, at least the one I have, ranks in the 80s with his speed stats -- Curry ranks as an 83 speed, 83 speed with ball, and 95 acceleration, which is achievable for Murry with an 83, 87, 82 respectively. I'd also look into bumping up Murray's 3pt shot too into something in the upper 70s/lower 80s before he hits his peak, but that should come with time and a few offseason training camps.

re: **2K17 - How's your MyLeague/MyGM going?**
I added two expansion teams, the St. Louis Spirits (my team) and the Kentucky Colonels, and started in the offseason. Every team can protect eight players. I have the fourth pick in the draft and Kentucky has the fifth, while I'll be picking second in the expansion draft.
I'll be controlling the computer to make all the IRL trades and signings that happened this offseason, but I'm gonna let the draft play out differently. The Lakers won the lottery, so they'll probably end up with Simmons. Right now, I'm targeting Dragan Bender, Kris Dunn, and Domantas Sabonis. May trade down and try to get two picks.
