    Re: **2K17 - How's your MyLeague/MyGM going?**

Getting ready to restart MyGM as I am getting comfortable with the controls/playstyle I want to use.

I like starting in the offseason and getting to be involved with the 2016 draft but hate how free agents like Kevin Durant ended up in Atlanta, so I'll start MyGm at the start of the regular season to avoid that and has some sort of realism to begin with.

My question is for the Expansion draft... Are there players you guys would recommend for the expansion draft based on my below preferences?

For PG = I like playmakers with decent mid-range shot
    For SG = I like 3pt shooters
For SF = I like slasher w/ midrange or 3pt shooter
PF/C - I like Defensive/good rebounders (good offensive skills are a nice plus)

      **2K17 - How's your MyLeague/MyGM going?**

Jordan McRae, Casspi, Tim Frazier, Richaun Holmes, Tyler Zeller, KJ McDaniels, Kevin Seraphin, are the core guys I drafted for my Sonics expansion.

I used SimWorld roster with 30 team control and reviewed the people available and had it set to protect 12 guys and start in regular season though so you may have much different results.

I think my expansion team turned out fairly realistic as none of the guys I have are contributing to their teams IRL. I don't like starting an expansion and having a bunch of solid starters and bench guys right from day 1 as that's not realistic at all, look at the past few real NBA expansions like the Bobcats. Plus I like to build from scratch which I think is the whole point of expansion!

      My squad is:

      PG - Tim Frazier
      SG - Jordan McRae
      SF - KJ McDaniels
      PF - Richaun Holmes
      C - Tyler Zeller
      6 - Omri Casspi
      7 - Greivis Vasquez
      8 - Kevin Seraphin
      9 - Reggie Bullock
      10 - Pat Connaughton
      11 - Maurice Ndour
      12 - Fred VanVleet
      13 - Alan Williams
      14 - John Lucas III

Thank you this is very help, and good to know that starting the League in the regular season vs offseason gives you a little more realism.

Fred VanVleet could be fun! Even though I despise Wichita St for beating KU in the NCAA tourney, he was a great PG in college

Technically the most realistic way would be to start the expansion after the first year of your league, but for me atleast starting in regular season at the beginning doesn't change where the real life rookies got drafted.

I think most of the guys I have fit fairly well with what you mentioned you look for at each position, granted they're not very high rates so won't fit perfectly lol.

Ya I get they are lower ranked players, I expected that with an expansion draft teams are going to allow their best players to be eligible for the draft.

I'm doing MyGM so can't really sim the first season and then create an expansion team. I suppose I could do the MyLeague route though.. Do most people prefer MyLeague vs MyGM?

I always go MyLeague so I can veto trades, jump in and control teams to fix rosters if I need to, etc.

If you're in MyLeague I believe you can override retirements for up to one year? I did it with Duncan (on accident) before. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I deleted that MyLeague so I can't check the accuracy on that.

That makes sense, especially to keep the realism of certain players not being traded/ Lebron leaving Cleveland for Milwaukee or something weird like that...

So my Omaha Bombers expansion team after the expansion draft is:
                    PGs: Ish Smith, Tyler Ullis
                    SGs: Kyle Korver, Ben McLemore
SFs: Doug McDermott, Dorian Finney-Smith, Brandon Rush
PFs: Thomas Robinson, Nick Collison, Chinanu Onuaku
Cs: Jeff Withey, Cheick Diallo, Stephen Zimmerman

Obviously a little biased towards some KU guys, but pretty happy with my team based on my style of play...

Started an NBA today with the Sixers it's the most fun I've had on my league currently 17-26 and pushing for an 8th seed I don't know if we are going to make it or not but the deadline is coming up and looking at making an few moves everyone Bar Simmons and Embiid is up for grabs. If used correctly Embidd is an beast almost had an Quadruple Double last game 23 pts 17 Rebs 9 blocks 8 assists.

What's an few moves I could make to either try and push for this years playoffs or clear some space on the roster too many bigs need some shooters and some wings.

List would be at potential names for 2/3 spot I'm looking at I don't want to use up a lot of Cap Space which will be explained in the next post.

                      Joe Johnson (Veteran)
                      Hardaway Jr
                      Jeremy Lamb
                      PJ Tucker
                      Corey Brewer

Also I'm going to play this out to next year and what are some FA's that I could target I want to go hard after Kyle Lowry think he would be an perfect fit with the young roster and he would bring some stability to the PG position willing to give him the max to get it done. Any advice or opinions would be great

Finished my 1st season with kansas city knights and ended up last 25-57. We got the 1st pick and drafted Kansas own Josh Jackson and Devonte Graham (2nd round)

Im trying to build around draft but i saw ibaka and redick not being picked up so i signed both. Below is my lineup for season 2:

                        Ibaka
                        Patterson
                        Jackson
                        Redick
                        Burke

                        Bench:
                        Olynyk
                        Skal
                        Glenn robinson III
                        Malik beasley
                        Graham

                        Reserves:
                        Jason smith
                        Diallo
                        Beachum (rookie)
                        Liggins
                        Van vleet

                        Currently 8-4

Finally, after 10 missed attempts (estimated, maybe more ‪¯\_(ツ)_/¯‬). I have finally settled on a MyLeague Expansion with the my rendition of the Pittsburgh Condors. My goal in the coming year is to get a top 5 pick, with the potential to move up in the draft if needbe for Fultz, and get another lottery pick to grab either Issac/Anunoby//Tatum. I think that might be a tall task given my starting 5:

PG: T.J. McConnell (traded Cory Joseph for him. Had to pick up the Pittsburgh Kid!)
                          SG: Malcolm Brogdon
                          SF: James Johnson
PF: Trey "The Saskatoon Sharpshooter" Lyles
                          C: Festus Ezeli

I did a test run with a similar team last night at went 33-49 with Yi as my C rather than Festus. I plan on trading Johnson and Ezeli before the deadline, so hopefully we don't do too well before that point. If all goes as planned, hopefully we can make it out of the lottery for 2018! Can't wait to get rolling on this!

I'm liking MyGM expansion team so far, but am looking for advice for 3-6 plays people suggest for offense.

I'm looking specifically for 3pt type plays as I have Doug McDermott and Kyle Korver. The plays I have now take forever to setup and I am almost running out of time and have to force a shot if they are not open after the screen.

Any suggestions for 3pt or midrange offensive plays that run/setup quickly?

Try the blazers playbook. They use flow freelance as default and they have some good 3pt and mid range plays for lillard and mccollum. Handoff plays are also nice if you have a good point guard.

                                Re: **2K17 - How's your MyLeague/MyGM going?**

Started Lakers MyLeague, i feel like my team has a potential to be a playoff team right away so i traded for two players that are part of my starting lineup now.

First i traded Jordan Clarkson, Tarick Black, 2019 1st (top 5 protected) and 2020 2nd for Brook Lopez and Randy Foye

and i trade Lou Williams and 2019 2nd for Jeremy Lamb

My starting lineup now looks like this

                                PG: D'Angelo Russell
                                SG: Jeremy Lamb
                                SF: Luol Deng
                                PF: Julius Randle
                                C: Brook Lopez
                                6th man: Nick Young
Other rotation guys: Brandon Ingram, Timofey Mozgov, Thomas Robinson, Marcelo Huertas

Brook really makes this team better as it was obvious in the first game against Rockets that i won, i hade a solid lead throughout the game and they came close to evening it up but they never made the comeback. Game wasn't easy, Harden's foul trouble played a big part in our victory but still i feel that lead was safe all the time. Brook was hitting it from the outside and inside, he's a good rim protector and i think we can really make the playoffs with him.

I brought Lamb cause of his size and i think he's defintely a defensive upgrade we need on that position and he's still young and can develop with our young core.
