CPU cheese being gone (comeback code- I know 2K discredits this but there was definitely some quirkiness), if true, is music to my ears.

I had originally turned ACE "off" because I thought it affected my individual defensive settings. After watching Czars vids I turned it back on and noticed my AI teammates were much more alert on both ends of the ball. I recommend everyone watch Czars 3 videos he put up last night.

I'm really looking forward OG's breakdown of defensive settings, both team and individual.

At this point.. my top 3 things I hope are addressed..

    1. Overhead passing (particularly CPU)
    2. Better awareness from my AI teammate Center.. They tend to get lost a lot and give up wide open paint layups. This was an issue last year as well.
    3. CPU FG% seems very high. 'This could be toned down a bit.

The pace during Play Now Online is way too fast. It makes the game an arcade game.
      Onball defence is impossible online.
No shot clock sound is the worst thing they did this year. Causes stupid situations when my opponents just play slowly their action and they end up surprised it's the end of the quarter already because they didn't notice the clock .

I may have spoke too soon to be honest, I cranked up the crowd volume to 90+ and tried another game, Cavs - Bulls .. I dunno, maybe I didnt play an interesting enough game before but this seemed very different. Crowd was pretty pumped on clutch plays, shouting "defense, defense" etc. pretty much like the old NBA 2k's, also the player reactions seem really cool.

At the end of 4th crowd was very alive, standing up and supporting, James made a 3pt equalizer 5s before the final whistle that really got them going.

I mean its obviously still a game, the actual emotions are pretty hard to portray.

Same here, CPU sliders at 50 not seeing FG% issues really.

Team mates getting lost sometimes is true but I have a feeling it happens in RL games (not sure if as much). Still better than FIFA team mates

Well the gameplay did get a lot smother and that should be enough but everything is much the same don't you think. My career is great. But my I guess my only thing is I was hoping to get more classic teams, or more old school players that I can use outside my team. It ought there would be more Kobe Bryant, a Benard King , Miller, Weber and where's the love for Tim Ducan because 2k screwed that up with no love to my Spurs I mean we were five time champions and there's teams there who never won a damn thing and there here twice. Plus the 99 Spurs they have there are not the team that won I don't know who the hell that team is. But other than that is what I'm disappointed in.

Be the coach option could be great... We can adjust almost everything, from big aspects to a small tactics. It has a big potential, however I doubt it anyone is going to use it in 2K17 due to the fact how difficult it is to navigate through the be the coach menus.

We should have access to "BE THE COACH" before the game even starts. The way it is now, it is pointless

Was going to mention that one ... I actually like it. Yes, its awkward but I think its mainly because people tend to be used to doing things certain way for a long time. After couple of games I got used to the navigation, button combinations and seeing "through" the stupid stars for selecting everyhing those stars are indeed stupid but again, it will be fine after a while.

This. Maybe I just need to get used to the menu more, but it's way to hard to try to do things like this in 20 or 60 seconds

I actually enjoy teams firing away from 3. Houston shot 42 last game, but look at who their coach is

                      I would keep ACE on

The new time out menu is a little weird at first, but you get used to it

On the surface not much is change from last year, but the more you play the more you notice. Graphics are just fine. A little step down from last year, but not the killer some have said it is

Getting good games on pro with Armors set from last year, but look forward to this years set. In the past I never bumped it up because the cheese, but I might do so this year depending on what others find

Is it just me or does playing with classic teams now just awesome.

i dont know if this was in nba 2k16 but Jordan looks great and playing with the jordan 4 colorways on him from 98 etc is just cool.

Just imagine a proper rucker blactop etc and we could recreate nba street vol 2...

Imagine a dlc like what nba live did with their outdoor arenas witht his game play engine.

Games amazing and Grimes is on the soundtrack 3 times!

Some of the moves the AI does are insane. In tight spaces too. ACE is no joke. Steph crossing up and pulling up for a 3 is a thing of beauty...looks like a human is doing it...

Love how the CPU opponent is breaking down the user with their full repertoire.

But has anyone noticed that CPU players take too many 3s? CPU Kyrie took 14 3pt attempts against me and other players who have their 3pt tendencies above 80 are constantly taking double digits 3s against me. Probably this can be fixed by a roster tendency adjustment by those who have their 3pt shooting tendency too high...

Does anyone know the average amount of 3pt attempts in real life is by players like Kyrie Irving, Lillard and other guards who shoot 3s at a high volume? (Not talking about Steph Curry's) level but the level just below that) Should it be 6-7 attempts max instead of 14-15 attempts when I play NBA 2K17?

Houston took 42 me, but real life avg was 2nd at 30.2 to Gld St.

                              Most teams are in 20's.

It's a little much, but not super insane

I played a few games yesterday and here are my impressions.

The game is better than 16, no doubt.

                                Pros

                                Controls feel much better

                                Blocking feels much better

                                Rebounding is better

Help defense is better, but still needs some improvement

Transition defense is a big improvement, nice work on that.

The scenes of the city after half is a great addition and so is the end of the half time show with the crowd arena.

                                Cons

Fist time I fire up the game, go into 2KU and I got kicked back to the xbox main menu. Frustrating.

OUB AI- Same as last year, terrible. It happened once or twice during both games I played and is game breaking to me.

When the film is played on the home court before the game is played, the crowd is really silent. Normally, there would be loud music playing, the crowd going wild, etc......

After the half time show at the arena, the crowd goes very silent and the game becomes silent until the announcers break in.

I don't know if it was Webber or Aldridge, but during the first game, they kept going on and on with the same tone of voice for about a minute on a player. It became annoying to me, so, I just blocked it out.

3 pt percentages off of fast breaks seem a tad high.

                                Overall, I'm satisfied with 2k17.
