Anybody else having issue when the CPU bumps your guy, he loses and picks up his dribble?

It seems to happen way too often.

Was enjoying the game but hope they don't "fix it" to the point where we are back to square one and the same game. I was enjoying how different defenders defend differently and players pass the ball more realistically vs bullet passes on the move when surrounded by 3 guys. Shooting also seems to have seen a bump.
Ya you've posted a lot and while
I don't agree with your feelings on NBA 2k necessarily, I definetly appreciate your enthusiasm. To see someone thoroughly enjoying a sports game is what it's all about so kudos. Life can be a crappy mess sometimes so enjoy what you can and don't let anyone get you down. Cheers.

Look at the comeback cheese back at it again and again. Ok I brought my percentage down all the way down to 25. So sure this helped with all the 3 point automatic shots in this game (everyone is steph curry now)....So what does the AI do. They turn to the inside shots. So guys like Tristan Thompson are the top scorers now lol....but watch this video showing some kind of force field pushing my guy Pachulia away from the basket....its not us, its them cheating us..btw I'm playing on the PC

That's not just you. It also happens in 2k16. Lots of 2k legacy issue surfacing with 2k17. Priority number one for 2k18 must be defensive fixes.

Two videos (2k16) on big man problems guarding the out of bounds baseline rather than their man.

Yeah this was a way the CPU use to cheat you in NBA 2k16 also. I had a video of Howard in 16 doing that exact same thing. Only happens to me in close games or cpu runs. The cheese is definitely still in this game though. They just don't do it by out shooting you, they take control over you teammates and move them out of position. They suck you into screens that you clearly beat. It's really a shame that this is the way 2K decides to translate difficulty in their games.

I have to agree on this one.

This is probably the only animation I get caught up in and it prevents me from passing to the open man for a good second or so. I wouldn't mind throwing an errant pass sporadically if I attempt to pass during the stumbling process.

all I have to say is, next year 2k should bring back the casual, sim, default settings. they dropped the ball on this.
since 2k10 Ive never had to do this constant slider adjustment thing. its getting annoying trying to find the proper sim balance now. its just run and gun with any player now.
even the default sliders are different than years past and easy on any level. whats up with that?

is this some type of placebo effect, that Im feeling.

am I doing something wrong. i do not want to spend an entire NBA season adjusting sliders.. again, Ive never had to do this in years past. in years past id just set to sim, and make the same slider adjustments which wasnt much.

Seems like that behind the back "yo yo" dribble has been patched and is no longer a exploit

It really need to be patched so it happens much less often.

Good ball handlers aren't gonna lose/pick up their dribble just because they get bumped a little.

Played a few games and I like it Better than 2k16. Cpu offense and defense is better except for when I go inside to big men. The user input on dribbling(love the feel of this), hop steps, etc is better and there seems to be more weight and organic feel to the players. I noticed players don't have the burst and acceleration...maybe I need to increase game speed and acceleration? I dunno there are little things that make it better so im satisfied with the purchase although not a huge leap from last years game but I guess there didn't need to be.

I still have doubts about purchasing the game. I'm watching youtube videos of players in PROaM dropping 60-70-80 points game just abousing dribbles and dumb 3pters with sharpshooters.
Are we still at that point? Why is still this hard to defend dumb actions like "a guy running in the corner"? It's been like that for YEARS, damn it.

I'm not talking about you as the user taking a charge, I'm talking about the cpu opponent taking charges. If you're seeing those, I'm surprised as I have literally not seen a single one yet through many games. There are a few things in general that for me anyhow, I'm not seeing at all, as in basically zero: charges taken by an AI player (the cpu opponent or your AI teammates), moving screens called as fouls, offensive & defensive three seconds.

I've already mentioned a couple of these in this thread so I won't keep on like a broken record after this, it's just kinda frustrating to not see these very basic/fundamental aspects that occur numerous times in an actual NBA game. Especially when the rest of 2K (AI offense, just gameplay in general really) is so damn realistic. If a few of these loose ends were tied up the game would be, well, scary good.

Ive seen alot of charges taken by the CPU. Ive also seen a bunch of offensive 3 second calls. I haven't seen any defensive 3 seconds and zero moving screen fouls.
