Yeah this game has to be the WORST of the series since 2k4. This is complete garbage. They messed up BAD this year. Words can not scream how automatic this game feels this year. The AI runs are total glitch. Why are lesser teams looking like their TOP 10 in this game.

Re: NBA 2K17 Impressions Thread
2kare you freaking crazy....look at my stats at halftime. And these are with my offense sliders all the way down to 20.
SOMETHING CHANGED. This didn't happen yesterday. But when I play today all of a sudden my stats are all crazy. I was shooting in the low 30's. NOW THIS. WHATS GOING ON HERE!!!!!! SERIOUSLYComment

Re: NBA 2K17 Impressions Thread
Ratings seem to not mean anything in this game. CPU hits whatever shots are convenient for evening the score or taking the lead. This means Ben Simmons will hit 3 threes in a row if it means getting the score close (I've witnessed this a lot), which is what the CPU is so obviously programmed to do. Speed is not even a factor. Another Aspect of the game in witch the CPU ignores. I'll just let the video speak the truth here.

Re: NBA 2K17 Impressions Thread
yeah this year the attributes and tendencies don't mean anything for CPU. Players play way different then what they do in real life. Kyle O'Quinn will chuck up 3's if you give him space. Centers that don't have a mid range will hit the mid range. All Gaurds play like they are Curry. It's like when they made the game the whole time they tested it they used GSW.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Impressions Thread
The game is losing me right now.
I was very disappointed by 2K16. (In fact I played more Live 16 then I played 2K16. That’s saying something).
On 2K17 I had a good start. Noticed some improvement in areas I didn’t like in 2K16 and had some fun games.
But after one month playing 2K17, the game is only frustrating me.
I’m an offline guy, playing Play Now and MyLeauge only. The stuff that is happening on the court since the patches is just ridiculous.
Your AI teammates a dump as its gets. They have no clue what they do. At the same time the CPU is cheating its way to the win.
I tried different slider sets, played different styles, nothing works.
You can’t play any good defense, caus you basically have to control every player to make up their mistakes. But even if your teammates wouldn’t run around like zombies, if it’s in the mood to do so, they CPU offense would kill you anyway. No matter who you play against, the CPU hast superhuman power and the basketball skills of a team with 99-rated players only.
The CPU should play smarter, harder and maybe gets some lucky bounce here and there on higher difficult levels. But in NBA 2K the CPU just gets a boost in every attribute while you play with a handicap.
This has been so in 2K forever, but this year it just reached another level. I don’t mind loosing. But it’s the way how you lose that gets me frustrated.
Even if you win, its still feels like its happened because the CPU decided you will come out on top.
I will probably try other slider sets, but right now I’m very disappointed AGAIN and hope EA gets us an NBA Live roster-update these daysComment

Re: NBA 2K17 Impressions Thread
Just downloaded the game on Sunday and have only watch 3/4 of a CPU vs CPU game (will watch more later today) but I really like what I see. Will likely jump into a MyTeam with the worst team later today/this week and try to build them up until 2K18 releases.F-L-O-R-I-D-A! S-T-A-T-E! Florida State! Florida State! Florida State! tempo is on steroids this year, that is why it always feels like you are playing catch up with the cpu. its just run and gun, no time to make on the fly adjustments. The ai exploits this fact. in previous versions you could make in game adjustments cause the ai controlled teams would run offensive sets that took a while to get into. this year that does not happen. it seems as though the ai controlled sets are started before they even inbound the ball, and if you as the user arent set defensively, they'll exploit it with quick plays. thus the constant run and gun feel.
that is what Im noticing.. very un-enjoyable.Comment

i just hate all these different archetypes, its driving me crazy. i don't like a single one of them. and then to top it off we have to grind for like a billion hours to get attribute upgrades.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Impressions Thread
The CPU Double Team abuse makes this game unplayable for me. So I can't give it a good impression. It looks good, some animations are nice, I love the dribbling but that's where it stops.
I feel 2K gave the middle finger to the ones who enjoy offline play in My Career.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Impressions Thread
This patch needs to HURRY.
The ai gets into the paint with nonsense like this whenever it wants.
What's happening here is physically impossible and absolutely infuriating when it happens all the time during a game.
It's bad enough the AI shoots 60% from the field every game, there's stuff like this left and right that just defy the laws of physics.
Paint play gets a serious 0/10 score this year. It's atrocious

Here's a good example of what i mean.
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/vDBxIvfkmrY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
The lead pass is in the same boat as what you see here only between a passer and a receiver, in which the 2 players are tethered together. That's why you see the unnatural speed boost that occur from time to time.
Here's an example of what i mean below.
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/gEJExVaA9fE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Here you'll see that Greg warps into place to complete this sequence with Marcin Gortat, causing an unnatural looking boost that pulls him into a position he shouldn't be. The lead pass is the same way.Comment
