Re: No simulation sliders this year. Out the box is default.

Slightly off-topic, but since Beluba popped in here before, I figure a dev might be watching the thread.

Sam Pham figured out why the defense goes haywire on pick and rolls, and has posted a video explaining his conclusions.

    <iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/l9t4xCiON3M" allowfullscreen="" width="560" height="315" frameborder="0"></iframe>

In short, it boils down to this:

    1. Make all adjustments on the first screen so it applies to everyone.
    2. Switch Rules- Use "Switch All".. *Do not leave on AUTO* (This is what is causing the big men and other defenders to just wander off from their man)
    3. Pre-Rotate- Switch to "NO (All)"
    4. Screen Help Rules- "Help and No Rotation (All)"
    5. Help Rules- "Help (All)

Now here is the second step and this is key! Change the individual settings for all opposing team Centers to what you see below..

    1. Pre-Rotate- Yes
    2. Screen Help Rules- Auto
Using those settings (with ACE On/Off, your call at this point), your AI teammate defenders don't overreact on the pick and roll, leaving shooters wide open to bury you from deep. These settings were a revelation and we need to get the word out.

If any devs are reading this, can you find a way to use Sam Pham's settings for all teams or allow us to set defensive settings for the coach once, outside the game (like in MyLeague>Coaching) to keep us from having to adjust it in-game every time?
    Any comments are welcome.

At least, that's how I wanted to design the difficulties.

If you guys can agree to a good slider set for Superstar and HoF, I'd be happy to adjust the defaults. I can change them in an update next week.

Just let me know exactly what you want in this thread.

I am also hoping the foul slider for mainly inside the paint can be lowered.

CPU players on both ends barely can defend in the post or just simply in the paint. It's almost always a guaranteed foul.

        @Beluba

The default superstar sliders are legit sim and realistic. AI seems a bit 3 happy, but other than that, wow very impressive.

Fouls inside are a good thing as now your team won't always lead the league in points in the paint.

Have to agree these superstar and HOF sliders are the best I have seen in the game let them be. This is the first time we are able to get high amount of fouls in games.

The only thing I was finding high was the amount of and one's converted it is probably a tad bit too high.

          Did a little stat digging

I looked at the top 50 possession guys in the league for each play type NBA.com tracks

          Transition And one FG% 24%
          Isolation And one FG% 18%
Pick Roll ball handler and one FG% 19%
Roll man and one FG% 23%
Post ups and one FG% 24%
Spot ups and one FG% 20%
Hand offs and one FG% 19%
          Cutters and one FG% 26%
Off Screen and one FG% 20%
          Putbacks and one FG% 22%
          Misc and one FG% 21%

Overall and one FG% all possession types 22%. So 22% of the time you should have a chance to make an and one. It seems much higher than that.

I did a quick look at Team stats as well. Transition possessions the total NBA average was 23% the max was 34% the min was 15%. Since there are no special ratings that carries something like this in the game it should probably be brought down somewhat. I am sure there are some badges boosting some other things.

Nice job finding that and-one data. I've always been curious about that.

They actually lowered and one success without doing a patch because I noticed it last night. Someone commented about it in the Impressions thread because they noticed it as well and thought it was a patch fix. I don't have the patch but I noticed it was reduced. I think I only saw maybe 2 in a game.

I might just end up selling 2k17 until a gameplay patch is released it's hard to enjoy the game right now

Yep. They just took the perfect sim gameplay and trashed it. I've only played one game but omg it was an awful experience compared to what they had before.
