This might be a ******** question to ask, but where can I find all these defensive settings? I can find the option for turning off ACE, but I can't find the options for adjusting gameplan. Are these even available in MyCareer?

Not sure about MyCareer, but I know it works for Play Now and MyLeague games. Press start, then scroll down to "Gameplan" > "Defensive Settings" > Press R2 twice. To get to the second screen to do the Pre-Rotate for just the big man, Press R1 a few times.

Just to clarify, you can't so this out of a game? It only can be done in game? It'd be nice if it were in the MyLeague menus

Yes unfortunately I can't exactly find it in the MyLeague menus either because I have to keep setting it up before I tip off. I haven't found a way to save it and keep it set unfortunately.

I don't want to sound...uhm dickish but I gotta wonder what Czar and OG did in this cycle. It's starting to makes sense that they didn't have a dev blog this year.

It just seems odd that all the prepatch problems from 2k16 made its way to 2k17. This really shouldn't happen.....

I'd put my money down that Czar saw this.

Has anyone encountered on SS or HOF using Sam's settings either on a rebound or inbound from the CPU, a long pass to a AI player underneath the hoop for an easy 2.

I noticed this a few times or more per game after using Sam's settings.

This was happening to me before the settings, so I doubt its that. In my case, it was usually a C or a PF not getting back on defense quick enough.

What about the ******** double team logic of this game.
It is as big a mess as the rotations.

If you get a player hot. the cpu proceeds to double him as soon as he crosses half court. and will continue doing so regardless of its effectiveness. It is so easy to cheese and abuse the cpu's idiocy.

It is such a shame with 2k17.
On the surface, the game looks as good as the reviews suggest. but take some time to play it and the issues are massive.
To the point where I am losing interest in playing it.

Yeah this happened before the settings AND after for me. Soooo annoying. I play broadcast cam so its basically something the AI can do and I can't.

I don't think there is a settings tweak you can do about this. I think you have to just accept this will happen sometimes and be done with it.

Yeah I've seen ForeverVersatile showing Mr Wang vids of this pre-release demanding a fix haha (on Twitter). I was worried before it came out. Yet strangely it hasn't happened to me after a tip off. But I think the defensive C almost has "human lapses" and I've just been lucky thus far (on tip off occurrences).

Those tipps worked perfectly for me. No more wide open opponents, no more bad switches after a pick&roll, no more big men open under the basket. I just turned the PreRotate back to "no", because sometimes the big men was too close to me, and his opponent too open. Now it's working. Thanks for the tipps!
One question though: What are your settings regarding on-ball and off-ball? so, tight or moderate or loose? I don't quite get a good setting for me. When they are tight, it only needs one move and the opponent is gone. When it's moderate, guys like Curry have too much room and are draining threes easily.
