Yall gotta stop with this "change this because it's not easy enough for me or it's bothering me" nonsense every time something doesn't go your way in a game.

Changes will only be made for complaints that keep popping up by a large amount of people not just one person who's struggling to play correctly.

I've played probably over 50 games already and I have fouled the shooter no more than 5 times total on jump shots. If you close out correctly with a hand up(right stick up) and don't spam turbo than you will get proper closeouts.

If you've ever played bball against high level competition you will know that closing out is one of the toughest things definitely against guys who are quick and can shoot. This game replicates that real life factor into the game play which is great because you have to be choosy how recklessly you closeout just like in real life.

In online gaming I cannot seem to be able to defend in the post. It is supposed to be difficult to feed the post but my opponents pf and center keep switching passes until an free inch for a dunk, layup or a foul.
This can't be the case. There should be more deflections. How can 2 6'10"+defenders not raising a hand or anything?
Input lag makes it impossible to defend on ball as switching to the other post defender after a pass will always cost you half a second leading to an easy dunk
Offball is not an option either as the ai cpu looks to love giving fouls
I may not be the best defender in the post but I can't believe I play against all post specialists. AI should provide more deflections

It seems the problem isn't your shooting percentages but those of other builds, which should top out at the high 30's. Or mid to low 30's for a defensive build.

No one should be shooting over 50, much less 60 from 3 in any game that resembles NBA any form of basketball.
I completely understand that and I wouldn't have a problem with percentages if my friends weren't shooting almost the same as me when left wide open. It makes my sharpshooter feel useless sometimes when I can't knock down open shots after executing a play perfectly. But I get it, it would be broken if I could hit every open shot whenever I wanted. That wouldn't be basketball at that point and I understand completely. No argument there.

I will wait until the shot meter glitch gets fixed and judge my shooting again after a couple of days playtime. I can already see that the input lag online plus my shot meter glitching frequently ruins a lot of open shots. Hopefully it gets fixed quickly so that I can go back to competing with my team at a high level in the pro-am.

I agree on shooting fouls - but what about inside fouls? I've played about the same amount and always see fouls every game that seem dumb and unnecessary. I barely see inside shots just being Contested and missing - it's either a block or a foul. I said the same thing previously that multiple same experiences are what should trigger a change. Well let me know yours in this aspect. Because as a lockdown defender I get way too many forced fouls. And I'm not a beginner - I do alternate from hands up and triangle. Foul animations are often simply forced from what I've seen. Both user and cpu. It's like i said previously - there is a draw foul stat - but not an avoid foul. Better defensive stats don't seem to avoid or notably lessen the forced foul animations.

I agree that the forced foul animations where you get sucked into the player and your player does some forced animation that you didn't press is annoying but even those don't seem to be running rampant as they were last year. I would love for forced suction fouls to be gone completely like the everyone else but I do understand that it must be something buried deep in the game engine that's not allowing it to be an easy fix.

I've played games against the rockets and cavs who have some of the best slashers in NBA and they only shot 4 free throws the whole game on 10 min quarters and that's with the CPU off awareness rating cranked up to 80 and the CPU attack basketball tendency adjusted up to to 59. I rarely go for blocks unless I'm in good position with shot blocker (other than that I use hands straight up contest jump) and use right stick to contest shots not LT and I'm barely getting any fouls called on me besides the suction ones and the occasional bad decision on my part.

Balance Druid here - leave us alone.

On topic - Warriors are destroying the Pelicans (44%,) and I've disconnected the internet on my PS4.

For future reference do we have to be connected to PSN or Xbox live gold to get updates and patches or just have console connected to internet?

after playing with all the default sliders post patch, every sliders on OS, no one was near to the sim experience, every first quarter was in 30s; halftime 60s, you are in the second quater you are in the 10 minute and you are 45-45, is like the game is broken what ever sliders you use.

The best sim expererience is play 7-9 minnutes quater yo get sim results and if you are in MYLEAGUE o MGY ONLY EXTRAPOLATE the minutes you play to sim.

Shooting fouls. In real NBA around 20-25 FT per game. Sometimes i have between 30-40.

I have defensive assist at 0 already but thanks for the tips.

Yeah i forgot that MC only player can change the Sliders...oh wait!
Id like to see consistent 40ft games. Got a screen shot of multiple or consecutive occurrences?

After the update by Beluba, I'm seeing much improved FG%, but the pace is still way too fast. I'm seeing up to 96 shots per game. Not every team plays at a super high pace in the NBA, but they seem to in NBA 2K17. I've even tried setting the POE for both teams in game.

2k needs to give us the option to bring back the old shot meter UI.

I can't tell if my shots is slightly early or slight late since the Shot Feedback doesn't work in practice nor in myPark.

In terms of fouls called - I never said they happened to me all the time. I barely get fouls when I'm in control. What I do indeed have a problem with is when I do called - those fouls just seemed forced on me. And I also feel the same as I said with inside scoring defense - where there seem to be too many forced fouls on players - you just ask yourself "why would he do that? Just contest". But o well. Nothing one can do unless everyone feels the same. Again - I would only want this change for good defenders. Bad defenders (statiscally) can keep the forced fouls. As there indeed needs to be a balance. To summarize - good defenders to me don't have better ability to avoid fouls - dumb foul animations.

I agree 100000%. The new shot meter is so broken it's ridiculous. Supposingly it's being fixed in the next patch when god knows when that will be. I didn't see a problem with the old shot meter but so many people on here complained about it. Way too many issues with the new one right now.
