I just hope they make the change so you can make this God like Shot Creator you have been talking about for 5 pages.

Same, so that way I can come back to the boards about 2 weeks afterwards and hear how the Shot Creators need nerfing.

As someone stated previously, I would LOVE to see picture or video evidence of legit Pro-Am games with these sharpshooters shooting from the distances that are being mentioned.. All this half court talk and no proof. The only thing I have seen is a screen grab of a box score which means naff.

If people keep moaning we are better to make every single person on Pro-Am and Park have the same attributes and same height and just go at it. Nobody can complain because they can't defend properly as there would be no excuses to use.
        Football: Manchester United
        MLB: Cleveland Indians
        NBA: Miami Heat
        NFL: Cleveland Browns

Props to this! We all saw what happened with "If I miss another layup thread" ChuckNorrisSlasher did a very in depth analysis with videos, step by step instructions of what happens how it happens and what needs to be fixed. I also think 3 point % is to high for sharp shooters but with that said your'e absolutely right. We need video evidence and black and white examples of why. Who knows this maybe taken into consideration as well. I wish I didn't have a full time job, dad, and husband duties or else I'd sit down and do exactly what Chuck did. So if someone has the time start your investigation and show proof!

Buddy is just a hypocrite. I don't know why everyone is wasting their time with this guy. He tells us we all just need to git gud at defense but whenever someone mentions nerfing Sharpshooters, he just cuts bait and says he'll move onto the next best class. This goof isn't interested in balance. He just wants to play whatever archetype is the current flavour of the week. He's lost all credibility at this point.

Yep. There are a few characters in these threads who go around laughing at people. I can give a few names but they know who they are. Some don't even spend the time to actually try to duplicate with same scenario. But, first to yell out learn how to play or you're doing something wrong. We got justice with one good thread (slasher relentless finisher badge glitch) and I'm sure there are other bugs out there that need a fix. It's just a matter of time until someone puts all the pieces together and provides a valid point.

Right. I'm not interested in balance, yet you want to cut a Sharpshooter off at the knees knowing that the only thing they can do is shoot. Can't drive, can't dribble effectively, and are the slowest of the offensive types, and yet you want to limit a shooter to even less of a role.

Meanwhile, I'm showing multiple times that the change you suggest CREATES A MASSIVE IMBALANCE and literally negates everyone but the Shot Creator. You'd literally give the SC the job of both the Sharpshooter AND Slasher, and it'S literally not clicking with some of you.

And by me 'having my SC on deck', why the hell wouldn't I use a play style that would give me both a Sharpshooter AND Slasher-lite perks? Be for real.

I have a PF stretch big they are not OP as people claim. We can't really dribble or put the ball on the floor much, and are pretty poor finishers compared to other builds. We're pretty one dimensional. If you stick a big 6'7 SF on me and he stays home I'm most likely gonna have some trouble. Paint protectors are another build that have given me trouble they seem to move really well and can usually out rebound me.

It's all about user skill and who your teammates are that you're playing with at the end of the day. I bet the biggest complainers are also poor defenders.

Alright, since words don't seem to cut it, I'll post numbers. These numbers will assume all shots that are taken after the ball touches the floor are now Shoot off Dribble shots. I'll use my own player height with no weight or arm length changes at 6'5". I'm on my phone, so the format might be weird:

                      * = Sharpshooter numbers
                      # = Shot Creator numbers

                      Shot Close: *77 #94
                      Off Dribble Shot Mid-Range: *74 #91
Off Dribble Shot Three: *74 #91
                      Standing Layups *70 #85
                      Driving Layups *69 #83
                      Standing Dunk *57 #68
                      Driving Dunk *60 #76
                      Contact Dunk *43 #69
                      Contested Shot Mid-Range *91 #79
                      Open Shot Mid-Range *91 #79
                      Contested Shot Three: *91 #70
                      Open Shot Three *91 #70
                      Post Fadeaway: *73 #73
                      Post Hook: *73 #73
                      Post Control *73 #73
                      Speed *78 #85
                      Acceleration *74 #82
                      Vertical *76 #82
                      Strength *64 #54
                      Boxout *70 #55
                      Offensive Rebound *71 #57
                      Defensive Rebound *71 #57
                      Ball Control *77 #78
                      Passing Vision *72 #73
                      Passing IQ *72 #73
                      Passing Accuracy *72 #73
                      Speed With Ball: *72 #74
                      Lateral Quickness *69 #71

Now, you tell me the benefits of making a Sharpshooter over a Shot Creator if all shots use the Shoot off Dribble rating as soon as the ball hits the floor, especially since my shooting can now equal Sharpshooters once I start dribbling.

Dman just released another vid of a sharpshooter going Super Saiyan! That grand badge look so nice in action.

What are everyone's thoughts on that vid?

I watched the sad defense being played. He deserved to go off.

I'd have to watch again but the first shot of the game, a dude was right in his grill. Also with the double picks and speed that this guy has at PG he was damn near unstoppable. The shot off dribble stat needs to be fixed.

If I can catch the ball, leave someone in the dirt for closing out too hard, and get the paint protectors to jump for no reason while I stop and pop a midrange jumper, it should be in the 70s? Gotcha.

Isn't there a move in the game that lets lets you give a hard dribble to either side. Kind of like the Stepback from triple threat.

Something like that, yes. But if it's the one I'm thinking of, it still puts the ball on the floor. That means the shooter's shot would immediately drop to the 70s. If it doesn't, I think 2k17 recognizes that move as traveling if the user hasn't dribbled first.

Hell, I've seen jabsteps into pull-ups get called for traveling in this game.
