Re: For those still saying sharpshooters are not op....
Ok so just played two pro am games with my sharpshooter. Pretty much what 2k did was make it so sharpshooters could not hit shots from near half-court (especially with the grand badge activated) and more importantly made it so more contested shots were activated. In other words, they made it so it takes more space for the sharpshooter to have what would be considered an "open" shot.
Now from my small sample size I can say that this is both a good and bad thing. On one hand, you probably won't see as many steph curry's out there hitting those ridiculous contested shots from all over the court. However (and where I can see issues arising) is that even if a defender is a good 2-3 feet away from you, you will still activate that contested shot animation leading to a lower percentage shot. There were a few instances during the second game I played where one of my teammates would set a solid screen on my defender and I would have ample space to take a good shot but instead my player would take one of those contested shot animations even though he was pretty open. This may be troublesome for teams as even if a sharpshooter is coming off of a screen and has a good look to the hoop (as in real life), if the defender is even an inch away from the shooter or just got hit with the screen he may still take a contested shot animation. Unfortunately it seems that sharpshooters are going to have to rely upon more dribbling moves to get solid space as anything shot with a decent look will trigger a contested shot animation. Now this is just a small sample size but while playing I was shocked to see that my player would at times shoot as a defender was draped on him even though he was fairly open. Besides that though shooting percentages when open seem roughly the same.
And ironically, one of the shot creators I played against dropped 42 while taking the same type of shots that people were complaining sharpshooters were making pre-patch.Comment

I think its kind of messd up 2k doesn't test and balance game properly, then people spend money and grind out VC, then 2k changes everything and now they have to start over having to get 100,000 VC again...
...all because 2k failed at testing balance.Comment

Welcome to NBA 2k17, where the attribute caps are made up and defense doesn't matter. That's right, defense is like the word ‘International’ in International House Of Pancakes.

Actually because of the over-powered screens and brick wall logic you'd be better off going under the screen for shooters, especially if it's off-ball screens"If you ain't dead, you're alive" - Javale McGeeComment

They aren't even really OP. I just played with my homeboy whos a 6'0 SS PG, and he was bricking a lot. I still think this is all an over exaggeration.
AND NO, I'm not a sharpshooter. I'm a shot creator.
Which btw, when are they going to fix this shot of the dribble nonsense mannn!?Comment

Why? As long as they don't do that stupid change you all were going on about, I'm just fine with my Sharpshooter.
This is how I know you were never truly reading or comprehending my posts.Comment
