Re: For those still saying sharpshooters are not op....
And you'd feel good about yourself if you were to play Pro-Am regularly, and you averaged 38% from the field as a whole? These are 5-6 minute quarters, not full 12 minute games. Each shot matters, and I doubt a good team will want to rely on people who can only average 38%.
I'm a SF point forward, not a three point specialist. If they are relying on me to carry the team with three point shooting were in trouble, as we should be.
When i made the build it wasn't to rain threes so that's fine by me. I understand the limitations and think its fair.
Right now im shooting 30 percent and fine with it.Last edited by ruxpinke; 09-30-2016, 02:38 PM.PSN: PrettyToneyComment

I'm talking about three point shooting (as i assumed you were with 45-50 as a maxed sharpshooter) so yes.

You all have to realize these 'real percentages' work better over 12 minute quarters, not 5, where each shot matters much more, especially against damn good defensive teams and/or high powered offensive teams.Last edited by Caelumfang; 09-30-2016, 02:43 PM.Comment

Re: For those still saying sharpshooters are not op....
I think that I'm on base with all of this, but the change to three point shooting was to the limitless range badge, which is, I believe, what allows players to be more successful pulling from long range. There was also a tweak to shot contest.
I have 66 3-point rating. I personally don't shoot any threes unless I need to because of the clock winding down, or if I am very open (or if the game is well out of reach and I'm goofing around trying to end it). Neither of the changes should have any effect to my 3 point shooting, but will have an effect on the success of deep threes based off of the limitless range badge and of contested shots in general.
The Limitless Range Badge was nerfed a little bit. Still a useful badge but people were cheesing it more than we anticipated.
The main change was re-defining what the game considers open vs. covered vs. crowded. Sometimes when users think they play pretty good defense against a shooter, the game actually thinks he's wide open. So this tweak will basically knock down covered jump shot %'s across the board.Comment

I'm gonna be honest with you, having played on some very high ranked teams and in Pro Am league games: Over the course of 5 minute quarter games, if you averaged anything below a 40ish% from behind the arc, I wouldn't trust your perimeter shot that much.
You all have to realize these 'real percentages' work better over 12 minute quarters, not 5, where each shot matters much more, especially against damn good defensive teams and/or high powered offensive teams.
I pretty much only shoot it wide open, and even then i sometimes wait for a close out and drive and pass off that.PSN: PrettyToneyComment

Re: For those still saying sharpshooters are not op....
I see where you're coming from, and I agree. I don't trust my shot, and with the type of build I committed to I didn't expect to. Against a good team, they deserve to win if I'm shooting a large volume of threes.
I pretty much only shoot it wide open, and even then i sometimes wait for a close out and drive and pass off that.
But yeah, I'm of the mindset that shooting percentages should reflect the length of games. If the quarters are shorter, shooting percentages should be upped in order to reflect that, depending on length of quarters. Real life % in extremely shortened quarters is ridiculous.Comment

This was a 66 rated 7'3 stretch big, we won big so we were curious to see how many of these he could make with the CPU guarding him, he was 8-19 on these shots from those kind of distances and a couple were even further.
