Re: For those still saying sharpshooters are not op....
Fact of the matter is this, and people will need to realize this: NBA 2K17 is an almost pure offensive game as far as the MyPlayers go. The defensive caps should have been your first indication. Balance simply won't be a part of this year's game. And by the time we get the last patch, the game will be a wreck becaus they're going to overpatch things until most styles are useless.Comment

Re: For those still saying sharpshooters are not op....
I think this thread has ran it's course. Obviously Sharpshooters are never going to admit they're advantage is lopsided in their favor;Despite numerous evidence to support the argument. Multiple people said they still want the Archetype to be lights out,but to Sharpshooters a drop from 60-70% to 40-50% percent makes the sharpshooter useless. Curry shot 50.4% if I remember correctly.

Re: For those still saying sharpshooters are not op....
i brought this topic up with the same casual friend who i mentioned dropped 54 on pro am. and he said, "before they nerf us, they need to nerf the Stretch bigs with the 90 rated 3s. there no center (he ignored the fact a PF counts too) in league history with a 90 3 ball"
i brought UP prime dirk and bill lambeer (86 3 ball in myteam) and the and he tried to keep defending his Sharpshooter. he sees Stretch bigs the same way we view Sharpshooters lmao.
i stopped by redcitybois stream today and he was losing it over sharpshooters @ stage. Dude was like " IT TAKES NO SKILL. JUST HOLD SQUARE AND YOUR GOOD"
but How do you guys feel about Stretch bigs? just curiousComment

Re: For those still saying sharpshooters are not op....
A friend of mine posted a screenshot today I just saw were he had 41 points at half time in pro-am. He is a sharpshooter btw. The shooting this year is beyond ridiculous. It's a combination of poor sliders, badges and attributes being OP, and the removal of defensive badges outside of lockdown defenders.Comment

Re: For those still saying sharpshooters are not op....
I Feel like the problem with sharpshooters is a problem based on other factors outside of archetype, as well as too high 3pt%.
Factors such as:- Lag
- Defensive players moving slower than offensive players
- Offensive players cutting 90* angles without losing speed, but defender has to slow down when turning direction
- Lack of physical contact by User players on the perimeter
- Moving Screens

Re: For those still saying sharpshooters are not op....
No disrespect to anyone on this thread, but please stop it. I've already heard the cries for help in terms of every build. People say speed-boosting is OP, so playmakers need toned down, shooting is too good so tone down sharpshooters, shot creators make too many crazy moving shots off the so tone them down, etc. This is beautiful, every build should be OP in its own right. These builds were meant to balance out... there is a LDD build for a reason.
Every year the theme in 2k is for everyone to complain that the game is too hard, and the gameplay gets toned down to accomadate this. This game is perfect, the gameplay mechanics DO NOT NEED TONED. The people who are "cheesing" you to death are probably just good at the game. If you look at any "cheeser's" gamer card then you will probably realize that they have put several hours on several 2K games. I promise you, there is nothing "unguardable" on this game. We just have to work as a community to better our defense, or if you are still struggling, make a LDD.
2K's theme this year is supposed to be a skill gap. 2K shouldn't penalize the great players of 2K who have put in several hours to master a playstyle to lower the skill gap to players who are struggling. This is especially true for sharpshooters. No offense to anyone here, I just don't want this game to take a similar fate of taking more control of an outcome out of the users hands.Comment

Also I would like to know how many people that aren't sharpshooters want the archetype to stay the same? They have an obvious bias.
I haven't seen anybody complain about Playmakers or Shot creators. Especially not in terms of calling for a nerf.
