It's possible. From what I'm seeing on mine, with draft class quality at 50, I'm getting some young players to ascend into superstar (90 or above overall) status, admittedly only 1 though.

Bumping up class quality could give us more superstars, but may also give us a lot more sharpshooters. Since they're randomly generated, I don't know how good I'd feel bumping up the class quality to 65 and letting things fly -- I suspect the AI would skew things again.

Nevertheless, it does bear testing out so I'll set up a run tomorrow with that idea in mind (or, if someone else wants to give it a shot and report your findings, do so). It's a variable that's hard to predict.
    Any comments are welcome.

So, I didn't fool with the training sliders any but I tried bumping the Draft Class Quality to 60 and results don't seem too dramatic. Overalls as rookies range from 63-82 as first round draft picks. Top 3 picks were 82, 78, and then 81.

Also, you can edit Draft Class Quality at any time. Just throwing that out there.

For the second year of Draft Class Quality at 60 the rookies had near the exact results as the first year. 1st round range still 63-82. Top 3 picks 82,81, and 78.

Hopefully, we can alter the exceeding number of sharpshooters by altering the individual training focus for each team.

I know I've said it before but if we bump the Draft Quality Class up to 60 or 65. We'll like see a more realistic number of superstars in the future AND if we can control the 3pt training for each team then hopefully we should see a more accurate number of sharpshooters as well.

Unfortunately, it appears as if CPU generated 3 put shooters are higher than than should be if the Draft Class Quality is sat at 60. Even before any training begins.

So there is no way to counter this extreme shooting improvement over the years other than edit every player that has a high rating? This bothers me cause I can deal with there not being as many superstars..it is this crazy improvement in shooting that makes me regret purchasing this game now.

I don't want to be too rude, but...have you read any of this thread past the first couple posts? LorenzoDC and trekfan have been doing some real work, finding workarounds.

I skimmed through it and it looked like they were getting somewhere until I read the post right above my last one. Apparently there is still a cpu generated 3pt issue?

That's just an issue with the cpu generated draft classes (one of MANY). Not with training/progression.

My problem with that bis, the default draft classes do give you the right number of players with A- potential or better at default draft class quality. They just don't give quite enough at the high end of A+.

So if you raise the draft class quality, you can raise the number of A+, but you will have too many A and A- guys along with it.

This is why I think the fix to this is manual with the draft classes, randomly picking an A- or A guy on average every year and making him an A+. you can skip some years and don;t add any, and then follow it up with a year with two A+ guys or even 3 of them. Just make it, on average, about 1 per year.

Ok, looking somewhat more hopeful now. Thanks

I just found a meta easter egg in MyLeague...seems appropriate for this thread and a couple others. Check the selected tweet on the right:

I think we should tweet him our answer

I'm gonna be busy at work all day so I don't have time to check this today but was wondering, if you do 30 team control at the beginning of MyLeague how do you switch back to only controlling one team? I get that you can just set all the rest of the teams on auto for the MyLeague automation things but will they still make you trade offers for the one team you decide to control manually?
