Personally i've noticed an uptick in perimeter contact that i didnt like at all, even after i'd already lowered it to 35. Also players felt slower and a return of the bouncy rims i hoped died, never to be resurrected. But i even went back and played the Prelude's 2kU looking for changes and those were still the only ones that stood out.

If there are negative changes being made, lets highlight them as clearly as possible so they can be addressed instead of just saying "its worse than 2k16".
The player movement and the bouncier rims would be attributed to the "gameplay feeling different" after so many patches and updates.

Those are 2 of the telltale signs that we see damn near every single year. The devs aren't writing code to make those changes, they're more so "symptoms" of the over arching issue. That can be the nature of an API/engine/brain/whatever term you want to use.

    You write code for ------------->[this]

    and it unintentionally affects [that]<------------------

It's been that way since patches were a thing (for NBA 2K). Previously, we'd just have to deal with whatever came in the box, until next year.

You'd have to write in cheques and safeguards to prevent those same issues. But in code, sometimes the safeguard you write needs to be source (original) code in the program, which would mean re-writing NBA 2K's codebase to include those safeguards to make multiple patches not produce these issues....but on a yearly release schedule -- that's nearly impossible.

I wish they hadn't touched the game at all. Bored with it now. Just like I was in 16.

This is one of the worst parts of the game.

When I first got the game I though LBJ is DOMINANT agains because finally he could explode after a pick just in real life and in 2k15.

2 weeks after it is 2k16 again, but with more magnetic field force defence

Thought I'd play an offline MyLeague game this afternoon. So this just happened:

          <iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/0xvZ3ZHUKOo" allowfullscreen="" width="560" height="315" frameborder="0"></iframe>

The game forced my player to warp/slide backward to accommodate the animation for the shot to go in. I mean, I'm playing on ball d and my man literally warps way back. I have no control over him.

Unfortunately after 1.04 and tuning updates, I'm about to shelve the game for a while. I'm seeing way too much stuff going on. I was crazy optimistic that the game was going to allow me to play a full 82 games and playiffs. I'm 9 games in, and just shut it off.

Try setting it to 50. I usually hate it because I like to have total control of my player, but I feel it helps this year.

An example of me trying to intercept a pass on a back door cut after beating my man to the spot and staring directly at the ball

the collision with the guy coming from the baseline seems to be what caused dude to move. Still ugly and frustrating.

You and I both. Very, very, very disappointing because when Mike released one of the first tuner updates the game was perfect for me. But after the latest patch and tuner update, I can't enjoy the game. Played a couple good games with turty's roster but his roster can't fix the problems the game currently has.

if 2K actually bothered to release a fully functional game instead of trying to rush it so the release doesn't collide with other big name titles, they wouldn't have to patch it, and thus this wouldn't be happening.
