Oh yeah, shooting is MUCH harder, less greens and more open/good shots missing. Contested stuff goes in even way less, however the CPU still makes the occasional bail-out shot when they need it.

You claim 2k17 is far from broken and then say "Well these things are always broken but why are people surprised, stop complaining". If you aren't affected, good for you, but stay in your lane.Comment

we'll see how much harder. My first game with the new HoF I had to turn my 3PT slider because I was like 8/11 in the first halfComment

After playing with the roster update and shooting tuners... WOW. I first played early this morning when the patch was first released with no shooting tuner or roster update and was disappointed. But now that everything has been updated, the game is playing great for me on superstar. I'm an offline player btw. Thank you 2K!#HeatNation

Then don't go in the thread and call out people for being annoyed and act like people are just way too demanding. Just because you're not affected doesn't mean we don't have a right to be voice our frustration.

As far as online goes, NBA 2K's had server issues since NBA 2K1 on the Dreamcast. It's beyond a legacy issue at this point. It's a heritage issue lol.
Always found it annoying that they connect more users to the servers to track VC in offline modes, but the culprit is staring us straight in the face. It's not a mystery, and there's nothing updated source code ("patch") can do about it.
Servers that have been shaky at best for the better part of 15 years, offline users now introduced to the equation to track their earned VC...there's literally no reason to think it'll get better. It's now in the "not until we see it" territory.
As a consumer, you should be pissed if you buy NBA 2K for it's online offering, because there's no telling what you'll encounter. As a vet 2K player, you should know this by now. Where you been? (not you specifically ph33, just in general)
At some point you have to be the educated consumer who knows what to expect & don't purchase until you know for sure they've taken care of issues you feel strongly about. Otherwise you're banging your head against the wall & wondering where that headache is coming from, & why won't anyone help you out.
NBA 2K1 on the Dreamcast. Same server complaints. We're talking a game that came out like 10 months after folks calmed down from the Y2K fears. Decade & a half+. It's disgusting, but it's been disgusting for a long *** time now.
People expected a patch to fix this? Lol.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Patch 1.05 Available Now, Rosters Updated - Full Details Here
The game feels better. I still think the FG% for cpu is still way too high. I was the dream team tonight and got beat on hall of fame by the current Lakers!. Mind you, I made some bad passes, but they were lights out even bench guys couldn't miss. Shooting about 60% from 3 and 55% from the FG%. I know the currents Lakers squad is good, but I was missing wide open 3's from Stockton and Bird. The ease of shooting for CPU still irks me a bit, I know I can adjust the sliders a bit. But man...
But defensively, things feel better. I still have my big guy not getting down court on occasion but the double team logic and the help D feels much better and I don't feel cheated when I play good D. It's a good patch. With some slider adjustments, mostly for offline, I'm very pleased with this.Comment

Can I sit in on the conversation Nic Brussino has with Rick Carlisle when he explains to him that he will need to miss practice because he has to scan his face for 2K users?Comment

You're absolutely right to be frustrated, it's just a waste of energy.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Patch 1.05 Available Now, Rosters Updated - Full Details Here
Game seems to play much better on default settings than before. Passes are fixed & I feel like I have more control over my players. I like the overall feel. My CPU teammates still go dumb a little too much but I'll keep playing to see how bad it is.
As far as the updated roster goes I would of liked some contracts to be touched. JR Smith, Oladipo, & Steven Adams. I manually changed them myself of course. Also, I know they can't face scan mid season but some of these end of the bench players can be done better. I've seen a better Rodney McGruder from some of the OS users.Comment

Re: THE UPDATE IS AVAILABLE
I totally agree. The game out the box presented a ton of issues. But after this patch I'm finally able to sit down and actually play the game and enjoy it. Is it perfect? No, but we got to stop thinking video games are going to be perfect. 2k finally addressed some big flaws and I'm happy we got a game to play right as the season gets going.

I was fine paying for VC if that money was going towards better functionality and a better product. But theres glitches like its 2k11 or something, yeesh. I think some of you dont realize this is a forum where raw feedback should be what you want, not censorship. Ya theres noobs who give noob/user error type feedback, which is why all feedback should be taken with grain of salt and contrasted with real basketball logic. But broad brushing all fans who criticize the game as entitled "whiners" is just as bad as saying "waa this game sux" and not being specific.Comment
