Re: NBA 2k17 Player Lock Thread
Do you guys have any tips about having a natural minutes progression through the season?
I dont wanna become a starter too early like MyCareer,
I'm running a ML with the Spurs as a 73ovr SG, and i just jumped from 10min to starter after 6 games, without minutes progression, and this is exactly what i really don't want...
I'm not sure about the "force non starter" feature... if i force it, i will not become a starter regardless the minutes i get, and maybe become a 6st man? Also not sure about the "performance lineup" slider under coaching options...
Thanks guys.
Actually if you put the lineup automation on the coach will handle the lineups everyday. Minutes will change based on the coaches style. So if you're playing well and your coach is a guy who has a high performance factor slider then the lineups will fluctuate a lot. But you're coach will handle the lineups so you shouldn't have to put force non starter on. If you're not good enough to be a starter your coach won't put you as a starter. But if you're a really good player you're going to be in the lineup. So just put the lineup management on auto. Your minutes will change from there.Check me out: https://goo.gl/N8vDdZComment

Edit: Ill try to be more specific. I'm trying to make things harder to my rookie. He's a 73ovr SG behind Green and Manu, playing around 10 min (6/2/2).
My problem is, at the 7th game, to my surprise i was a starter.
So i quit the game to check the rotation, i'm still at the bottom with 10 minutes, and i believe i'm not supposed to be starting games right now...
Now i'm completely lost about minutes progression, use force non starter or not, and how i became a starter so fast... lol
I use to play My league as career mode since 2k15, i guess... but i always created players to be starters, never a rookie coming from the bench.
I'm trying to make this experience as realistic as possible, but i'm having a hard time setting this thing up...Comment

What about the "suggested minutes" to the rotation? do i have to press Y to apply the minutes?

Just go to the My League Automation Settings and put the lineup management on auto. Then coach Pop would put you where he sees you should be. Because if you're a 73 OVR you'll probably be in and out of the starting lineup over time. Automating the lineup management is the most realistic setting there is. It just depends on your situation how much playing time you're getting.Check me out: https://goo.gl/N8vDdZComment

Re: NBA 2k17 Player Lock Thread
Huge matchup between the undefeated Pelicans(11-0) and the undefeated Thunder(12-0). It's a little lackluster due the the fact that Westbrook recently got hurt...came down to a late 4th quarter run but we won 91-84. Davis finished with 13 points and 16 rebounds and I finished with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists off the bench.Last edited by nova91; 12-23-2016, 04:12 AM.Say "No" to railroaded MC modes.Comment

Sitting at 8-8 and 7th in the East, the Kansas City Reign are the leagues best defensive team, allowing on 82.6 ppg on 36.9%(29.7% 3pt) shooting. They are also the 2nd worst offensive team scoring team averaging a measly 83 ppg. Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Aces are 3-12 and currently fighting with the Mavs(2-16) for the worst record in the the NBA. CJ McCollum is the NBAs leading scorer with 33.8 ppg. We're seeing the resurgence of Dwight Howard who's averaging 19 ppg, 17 rpg(1st) and 3 bpg(1st). CP3 leads the league in steals(3.7) and assists(10.1). LeBron is on pace to become the 3rd(maybe 4th) player to ever average a triple-double with 26 ppg, 11 rpg and 9.3 apg, he's also looking like a DPOY candidate with 2.6 spg and 2.1 bpg. I'm looking at ROY with 22 ppg, 9.9 rpg and 9.2 apg.Say "No" to railroaded MC modes.Comment

Re: NBA 2k17 Player Lock Thread
Last night I finally finished up my college career at USC. We were terrible finishing at season at 11-24 so we didn't make the National Tournament. So being a top prospect I decided to be a one and done. I averaged 9 pts, 4 rbs, 5 ast, and 2.5 stls as a SG. I'm more of a defensive specialist. I was an 82 OVR in college and using a system I made up for adjusting my attributes I translated into a 78 OVR rookie in the NBA. Which is pretty good. I was the 3rd ranked player in the draft. But the Celtics decide to take me #1! Then they trade away Avery Bradley! So that instantly freed up a starting spot for me! Then during the offseason we loss Isaiah Thomas, but we pick up Hassan Whiteside who averaged 21 pts and 18 rbs the season before! So we have both Horford and Whiteside! We also drafted Harry Giles at #3 via trade.
Now lets get to my NBA debut! We are playing the Pacer's in Indianapolis which would basically be my hometown team in real life. The game starts out with Hassan Whiteside snatching the ball out of mid-air on a layup attempt! Then a couple of plays later, Harry Giles gets the ball in the post and goes for a hookshot, misses and then gets the putback dunk off his own miss! Well by the end of the game I have my "welcome to the NBA moment!"
The Pacers are up by 30+ in my NBA debut game in the 4th quarter. I end up having to guard Paul George. First Pacer's possession I read the play and go out to play the passing lane on George. He backdoors me for a tomahawk slam! So I get the ball out of the inbound and bring it up court. I get the ball on the wing and George steals the ball from me and takes all the way to the other end and dunks on my teammate Jae Crowder then starts screaming! Well, very next Pacer's possession. I'm once again guarding Paul George. He drives right by me, I foul him, and he sinks the basket plus the foul for an and 1! Then he looks at me and shushes me! Then the crowd starts chanting MVP! It was absolutely crazy! I had a pretty solid debut with 14 pts, 11 rbs, and 2 ast. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS MODE!Check me out: https://goo.gl/N8vDdZComment

Re: NBA 2k17 Player Lock Thread
Played the Nuggets in Denver; the Nuggets definitely benefits from some home court advantage, shooting 35-41 from the FT line compared to my teams 26. The game was a turnover fest for both teams, NO had 23 and DEN had 24. I tied the Pelicans record for steals in a game with 9 as well as set a career high in points with 41. At one point we were down by 37 but we ended up losing by 16, 116-100.Say "No" to railroaded MC modes.Comment
