Anyone notice that Kenyon Martin on the Nets looks updated? Has this already been discussed? Looks younger and like he's missing the neck tats.

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
There were a lot of faces looking through where I was like, "If I didn't know any better, I'd think these guys have been updated." But I haven't really played much 2K since Red Dead came out last year so I'm a little out of practice with how some of the guys looked last year. Like, I even thought Todd MacCulloch looked solid in the 2K20 video.Comment

Connie was on the all time team in 2k18 but not 19. He passed away in that period and the rights to him seem in limbo.Comment

Is Lenny Wilkens gone, too? Think he was on A-T Cavs last year?

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
My first reaction was "omg no Ginobli". After I got done sobbing profusely, I noticed all sorts of stuff.
Like, omg Jeff Malone is now in the game on the all time Wizards team. And speaking of the Wizards all time team, Caron Butler actually has badges now instead of, like 3. And Rod Strickland has far more than he used to. I've suspected a lot of guys have been glossed over and on the backburner. I mean Rod didn't even have a dimer badge of any color. Which...is weird for a guy who led the league in assists one season. Carlos Boozer also has badges now instead of like 3. Terrell Brandon, like Strickland, also seems to have gotten a rethought and has far more. Also noticed Mark Price and Kevin Johnson with a fair bigger number. Many have stayed similar (Tim Duncan) and some have been reduced (Shaq, Chris Mullin) but a decent amount have seen an increase. One guy who still has like none is Gerald Wallace. No idea if thats really intentional or not.
Some faces you can instantly see got a rehaul for the better. Not that he looked that bad prior, but Brad Daugherty got rebuilt and clearly is better for it. So did Larry Nance. Who has never looked right but is much more true to life now.
Once Leonard and George get added to the all time clipper team, probably in 2k21, the clips are actually going to be scary. Who would have ever thought?...Comment

He was on the all time Sonic...err, I mean Thunder team last year. And yeah. They. Have two new point guards that have taken his place it seems. Also Paul George now. Also a fully badged up Sikma now. That franches was already strong.Comment

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
Seems like the legend/retro teams finally have bench players wearing warm-ups for the first time in 2k history
I always hated seeing the bench players without warm-ups
hopefully they did it for all the retro teams, not just all-time/decade teams
I haven't seen if this is true for one of the specific year teams like the 93 BullsComment

Yeah that's great but where are Legends like Reggie Lewis, Gheorghe Muresan and Cedric Ceballos? Are they in the historical draft classes or completely left out? Manute Bol and Rex Chapman are also missing. Anyone else? Emeka OkaforComment

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
Last year Reggie Lewis was in the draft classes but his face looked awful. There isn't really another team in game for him to be a part of. I wish they added a legends pool similar to the free agent pool that have every guy so it wasn't necessary to check draft classes.Comment

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
Would love to get a better look at the 2006-2007 Cleveland Cavaliers LeBron. It looks like his player model has been updated and improved upon. Especially the face, looks far more accurate. The past couple of years, really since 2k18 his face for the 2007 Cavaliers LeBron player model has been too thin and sunken in. This one seems to look a lot like 2007 Bron. With the rounder face and he looks younger. Could honestly pass for a decent 2004-2006 LeBron, minus the too many tattoos.
The 2005-2006 Dwyane Wade looks to be much improved and closer to his actual 2006 appearance.
They also updated Scottie Pippen. There look to be two different player models one for 89 Bulls and 91 Bulls and the other one for every other version he's on, the 96 and 98 All Time Bulls and the 2000 Blazers. Would have been nice to maybe had the mini fro version for the 2000 Blazers to add some variety, but it's better than it's been in the past.
The Tracy Mcgrady model looks great and so much more accurate.
The 2016 Cavaliers irk me, because it's fine to use current LeBron for 2016 Cavaliers LeBron. However using current Kyrie with the mini fro for 2016 Kyrie is lazy, especially when they had his player model correct in the screenshot they released announcing the 2015-2016 Cavaliers addition to the game. Same with using current JR Smith for 2016 Cavaliers and 2007 Nuggets.
Also for the 2013 Heat...
no Joel Anthony
no Mario Chalmers
no Chris Anderson
no Chris Bosh
no Norris Cole
no Mike Miller
no James Jones
That's a pretty sizable loss for the 2013 Heat. Obviously as a LeBron fan, I don't want them removed, but tough to justify keeping them for only Bron and Wade. At least need Bosh. Also what sucks is it is impossible to create an accurate Chris Anderson, because no tattoos for create a player.Last edited by LeBronistheKing; 08-24-2019, 12:12 PM.Comment

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
The fact that none of the classic teams that were already in the game got new players is a problem. I don’t count Turkoglu for the Kings or Nazr Mohammed for the Spurs because they were already added last year. So basically, these teams only got thinner. It’s not even that they can’t get the rights to these role players, it’s that they don’t even TRY. Ive reached out to Ronnie Brewer in the past and he said they could use his rights, which means they never even contacted him.
They had all last year to get the rights to Ginóbili and David West because they knew they retired, yet they just let them disappear from the game.
Also the Heat should still have Joel Anthony, he’s just lower than the generic players at a 64, so he didn’t scroll that far down lolComment

As for a guy like Brewer, it's always probably iffy for fringe role players. It's a grueling one year cycle they have, they have to prioritize. On the plus side, we got new players on the all time teams. Also many overhauls to said players. Both graphically and in badge consideration.Comment
