Yeah I found the 2003 team way easier to create. Having the Wizards court is huge this year

Looks like there will be a 0-10 slider for shorts length this year. Still had the option to have preference for short or long if you don’t want to give an exact setting for it. Could be amazing for differentiating 70s/80s shorts from 90s. Doubt they go longer than the normal length for early 2000s lol

Just like every cycle, I'm just hopeful that it all works as it should and there's no weird hang-ups that throw a wrench into everything upon release.

If everything goes as planned, I'm really, really digging the strides I've seen 2K take in terms of customization.

So far I've seen guys share:

        1. 0-10 slider for shorts length

        2. Improvements to DNA uploads (possibly more slots)

        3. Ability to choose accessory colors in the Team Select screen for four or five different categories (headband, armband, etc)

        4. Even more retro jersey additions on top of what was already so robustly added last year (folks have noticed early 90's Sixers and powder blue '91 Petro Nets).

Pretty amazing work by whoever's taken on this department.

Agreed, they've been adding the “little things” that we’ve been asking for years for. The shorts thing has so much potential for retro roster makers. Player DNA was literally the biggest thing they’ve ever added in my opinion. It is better than it originally was because the ability to copy players has transformed roster making for me. We used to be limited to however many versions of a certain player there was in a roster. If I wanted the 2003 Wizards, I’d have to lose a Bulls team. Props to whoever is in charge of this because it means somebody at 2k cares about us

Curious to see what that accessory screen looks like with retro jerseys. Also wondering if the short adjust only has an effect on current jerseys

Main thing with DNA is not having the bug where local saves don’t transfer properly. Doing everything 5 slots at a time was annoying. Not sure if they ever fixed as I just gave up checking at some point.

I haven't kept up on legends rosters in quite some time. Do you guys know if there's any roster creators that edit the existing classic teams to make them as accurate as possible (missing players, gear/attribute updates)?

Who are some of the best?

Can't speak for any other systems but my goal on XBox One in previous years was to at least piece together each team's primary rotation accurately relatively early on. That means adding guys like Anthony Mason, Rasheed Wallace, and even Rasho Nesterovic but not usually getting to the Steve Schefflers and Fennis Dembos of the world.

Just by scanning the OS Rosters section it always seemed like there was more custom roster action happening on the PS4 but I could be wrong now. Seems like there's been a nice little XBox One roster renaissance in recent years.

Timdunk put out a good one early on that I used as my starting off point this year. I’m pretty obsessive about gear and CAPs so I am continuously updating throughout the year when I find or create better CAPs. His roster was great for cutting out a lot of the workload. I could simply go through and see which CAPs I could live with and which ones I wanted to spend more time on. I’m not able to put a ton of time into it so it’s really not till months later that I have a major overhaul completed. It’s hard to get out an in-depth one quickly without a team working on it.

My favorite part about Timdunk’s rosters is he included included a bunch of new teams throughout the year and created a ton of jersey and court updates. He produced a massive amount of content this year.

Bigball12 has a thread for an entire overhaul of the classic and all-time teams that he has mapped out for 2k20. Kind of a mash up of Timdunk’s classic filled out roster, and Celtic’s attention to detail roster. Pretty excited for that one. At the very least it should incorporate a lot of the edits I end up doing myself each year.

There’s a bunch of guys on here producing individual pieces on here too that are getting incorporated into rosters. Honestly the threads are doing way more work on the rosters than 2k.

Easy to search? Man, one thing I love about the console version they have a bunch of dedicated roster guys. All I want is a roster that has the missing legends for the current classic teams.

Yeah, you should be able to to search “timdunk” for 2k19 and “bigball12” for 2k20 by psn. “Peregrino1978” also has a bunch of new retro teams created for 2k19.
