I have completely forgotten how to download Player DNA's (players created by other uses). Could I get some help for current gen? I thought you just went down to "Player DNA" in the Roster subheading but I do that it's just an empty screen.

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
retro heads, how do you guys deal with the fact that anybody and everybody gets picked up defensively at half court and is played tight or smothered by the defensive ai the entire game? how is this not unbearable from a retro perspective?
i keep telling myself every year that "this is rhe year i'm going to pick up 2kxx and play the hell out if it", but it's always something like this that deters me away from it. i could care less about jersey color, cyberfaces, whatever... i just want a solid retro experience vs the ai.
you can't even use a guy like garnett or mj in the high post because you just get smothered all day. it's so uninteresting.
sigh.

Dude, as obvious as that answer seemed like it should be, thank you. I was racking my brain. I'll have to give it a shot whenever I dive back in sometime.Comment

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
0 is pretty ridiculous, but to be fair, believe it or not RUN TMC didn't shoot that many 3's. They were known for scoring as much as possible utilizing small ball and the fast break. You'd have to look it up to fact check but I'm pretty sure they shot less than 10 threes a game (as a team, not RUN TMC)...which is unthinkable these days lol.
BTW, I love the work you're doing here....do you know the xbox (next gen) equivalent to your custom roster?Last edited by K_rob11; 09-24-2021, 10:43 AM."Basketball is my favorite sport

I know mate, im a 90s guy...but 0 combined all three? We arent talking about Bill Wennington, Joe Kleine or Luc Longley.
For the record, Hardaway 3.1, Mullin 1.6 and Richmond 1.5 3P attempts x game during the 1991 season.
In the playoffs, 5.3 Hardaway, 2.7 Richmond, 1.6 Mullin.
Kinda surprised to see that Tim had 3x the threes attempts of Chris Mullin to be honest. Rod Higgins was the 2nd guy in terms of 3p attempts actually.
Dont know about a Xbox equivalent...
meanwhile...MULLIN fix

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
I went through and did fixes for my roster. Guys like Mike Bibby and Magic Johnson, Doc Rivers also have 0 three tendency. Some old school players like Jerry West have 0 simply because they played before three pointers were a thing. I adjusted that too as clearly today they’d shoot some threes.
Some of the guys with 0 three tendencies shot up to 5-6 per game during moments of their careers, which was a lot for back then.Comment

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
Pay attention to the default pick and roll vs pop tendencies. It impacts what plays are available to be called/assigned in-game. For instance, look at the ‘01 Lakers power forwards. They gave them a zero rating and they have less pick and roll plays available in the play call screen than Shaq.Comment

Re: LEGENDS Thread - NBA 2K18 & beyond: (Accessories, jerseys, sig styles etc)
SMH. They didn’t even give Pippen one of his own dribble signatures THEY DEVELOPED FOR HIM.
He has two available dribble signatures in this game. They have him using one as standard. You have to manually select the lower one (can’t remember the name).
They also don’t give him his own dunk package. You have to manually select it. Same goes for Kemp, Shaq and Dominique dunk packages (maybe more). Magic Johnson had the Gervin layup package in 2K21 now they give him the standard generic “swing” package.
Worst of all is Jordan literally has his own signature Triple threat dribble sig (#4) which he comes with out the box in 2K21. Yet in 2K22 they give him the generic #5 as standard. WTF.Comment

Does this affect only play calling screen options? Any tips on what specifically to correct?Pay attention to the default pick and roll vs pop tendencies.
