If Gobert is an 88, then some of these other guys who are barely ahead of him need a bump.

Like who? Gobert is among the best in the league in offensive and defensive efficiency. Top 3 in offensive and defensive rating. If anything, he might be underrated.

Why? Gobert is arguably the second beat defensive player in the league.

I'd say he's #3 right now behind Kawhi and Draymond. Definitely the best rim/paint protector.

Gobert is probably underrated if anything. He was statistically better/more impactful than pretty much any other player rated between 88-90. Hayward, Lillard, Kyrie etc. He was 8th in the league in RPM. Had by far the best +/-'s on a team that won 50 games with a buttload of injuries. He def deserves an 88 at least.

Nailed it. Basketball is a two-way game. If you're a poor/below average defender, your rating should reflect that.

No he didn't complain about his rating. He's with the LBJ camp and everything is about his brand and I'm sure he views it as free advertising for 2K. He actually said he doesn't care about his rating because he doesn't play the game. He even refused to send Ronnie a pic so they could get his beard right. In fact when Ronnie tweeted him asking for the pic Simmons asked "Do I know you"?

If Gobert is an 88, then some of these other guys who are barely ahead of him need a bump.

Gobert has the biggest defensive impact in the league and you could argue he is the best defender overall. His individual defensive ratings will all be nearly maxed out which is why his rating is high. Just looking at the overall and saying other guys should be bumped doesn't make sense. Its not like they are giving him the shooting of Kyrie Irving lol. I think its perfect when you look at the other 88's and 89's who are elite on one end and average or below average on the other ie Isiah Thomas.

2k thankfully got rid of the high school body types, and has now blessed us with 14 year old girl waistlines.

I know I'm beating a dead horse, but this looks so bad.

I'm sure next year they'll go in the other direction and give every player Rex Ryan waistlines.

I think this is a reach. People wanted the tighter fitting jerseys and 2K is finally getting it correct. The picture you posted isn't his waistline, it's his jersey sticking out.
