It's not the youtubers fault, if you want someone to blame, blame 2k for not fixing it. You saw people cheesing dribble moves this year which is why they thankfully fixed and revamped dribbling in 2k18.

If nobody exploits it, nobody's gonna fix it either
Why should we blame 2K for people not wanting to learn the game the right way? People need to stop being followers and wanting everything to be easy.

What's your idea of learning the game the right way? Do you want people to use ugly and unfavorable animations that put them at a major disadvantage?

Why should you use what everyone else does? That's the whole point of being an individual and separates the good players from the followers who get everything from YouTube.

In my opinion if you're only playing for green lights you're not a good player especially if you're copying someone else.

So let's say everyone uses Klay Thompsons jump shot and it gets a crazy amount of green releases. If i'm a sharpshooter, I should use Shaqs ugly jump shot that doesn't get any green releases just so that i'm not like everyone else?

I should put myself at a disadvantage because 2k made certain animations better than others?

You can do whatever you want honestly, but I'd rather not see a bunch of copy and paste players. It ruins the mode.

Yeah I guess some of them do enjoy finding and sharing exploits.

They've never ruined a 2K for me though - I make a conscious effort to avoid all the YouTube vids out there. Never watched 1.

The only 2K related ones I watch are Czar vids.

Oh and last year was an exception. I watched Smoove's broken defense vid - was looking for confirmation on that one.....

But to be honest, you could also say forums can help ruin 2K in a way..... I mean, if there's an exploit out there, this community will 100% find it and report it (constructively of course). But its a similar issue no?

So basically like I said, you're expecting people to use unfavorable animations because you don't like the idea of seeing the same animations over and over. Alright lol

I personally don't watch youtube videos (that exploit the game) either, my point is that saying YouTube is the reason why the game is bad is just utter nonsense.

Like you said, even this forum exploits the game.

Hell, why only call out YouTube when OS and Twitter both exploit the game as well. Mine as well say that the community as a whole ruins the game instead of just YouTube

Nothing is unfavorable if you learn it. Why do you think we have a jump shot creator? Its definitely not so everyone can use the same one. If I created a good jumper, I'm not sharing it, go create your own.

Try Klay Thompsons or Kevin Durants jump shot and then try Nikola Jokic or Kelly Olynyks jumpshot. Klay and Durant's are obviously the much easier to time and release.

Also, getting away from jump shots, the same goes for dribble moves. I want to say it's Crossover Elite 8 or 7 or something like that but you can't do it within 5 feet of someone or you'll get a turnover. However, Crossovers Elite 6 and Elite 2 you can spam all you want and you probably won't get a turnover unless someone is right up in your face.

There's nothing you can learn that will make Elite 8 Crossover as effective as Elite 6. It has to do with the animations themselves.

To the bold, I'd say no. OS has exponentially improved my sports gaming experience. Mainly because there are people who not only recognize issues but also solutions.

Yes, there are the people who seemingly complain about everything and are never happy. Honestly, 90% of what they spaz out about I'm not aware of.

I'm the type of person who, if I discover a play or sequence of events I see the CPU (I'm strictly offline) cant handle, I stop doing it. I see notice stuff like that every year. I won't jump on the forum and say, hey, if you do A, B and C then the CPU cant stop it. Then turn around and complain about the game being too easy or broken. It happens. A fun, compelling experience is why I bought the game. I could put it on rookie and just win but that's just not fun to me. I guess it comes down to what type of experience you like. On the whole, OS is a place that encourages "sim" play.

Yep - my point was, pointing out an exploit could essentially be constructive. Pointing out game breaking issues with the game can be a positive for future versions of the game.

But it can cause people to stop enjoying the current version if it's something they were unaware of (be it YouTube, OS or otherwise).

How can it even remain fun for you to play knowing how broken the game is? If someone finds something wrong with the game I think they should definitely exploit it so that it gets fixed.

Id rather have to deal with a ton of players cheesing until the game gets fixed then to have to deal with a few players cheesing for as long as they want with it never getting fixed.

Like I said before, It's impossible for 2k to see every single complaint that people have about the game. It's only the big issues that make it through to them and those issues need to be exploited if there's any hope of it actually getting to the Devs

And that's where we're different. It's probably why I enjoy the game much more than you seem to. I won't continue to do something if it cheapens my game playing experience. If theres a bug or glitch I may post it in the bugs and glitches thread. That's where it belongs. Hope a dev sees it and it's fixed. I'm not gonna do it and cry about how "broken" and bad the game is. Or advertise it so that others can use it and potentially ruin someone eles game experience. To each his own...

Well. Some youtubers do it for views but those ppl who post exploits and glitches only have so many followers because all their content is the same. "Oh so and so found a glitched jumper, I'm gonna upload to my channel too" content is so unoriginal.

This past 2K was the best in terms of balance minus playmakers being able to do everything from any archetype but they still were not unstoppable. Every game has a class or abilities that is considered the meta. Destiny has it, Final Fantasy has it, COD has it. The list goes on and on. What ppl on 2k youtube community call glitches is just the meta. They aren't really glitching the game because that's against TOS and they could face PSN/XBL bans.

But I think they do even harm and even good but at the same time it's not their fault the devs never look into this stuff and change it mid way thru the season. They allow players to explode out of animations and instead of just fixing it they allowed for every guard to do it but playmakers can explode out of more animations lol. But.

There is a toxic youtube community out there that does really exploit glitches and etc for their own gain then they upload it but those guys also go to the park and get stomped on by ppl who know how to play the game lol
