Yeah though the Harden and Capela lines seems to match up, the number on Harden's starts lower and is therefore less big. It is still quite big, but Capela (2k's version) is too big. I think the proportions in general might be the problem. The mock up is probably just a bad representation of the real thing.

As I mentioned above, you have to take into account the 2 side arrows are stretched pointing down. That's the problem. 2k is trying to keep the proportion the same. The numbers look stretched to ensure it matches up with the two side arrows. In other words, if they're going to fix it, they have to fix both parts.

Not sure if that's true, but makes sense since the Rockets designers are the most amateurish ones in the league right now.

The only thing Nike really imposes, is their base template. Looking at all the teams jerseys, I couldn't tell you what the base template looks like lol. They all seem pretty different.

But isn't that the problem. You care about something else. Others care about other things. Just because art details isn't up your alley, doesn't mean it doesn't matter. I don't play online, so should I say I don't care about server. I have sympathy for those with server online issues.

What if someone came along the online threads and said there are more important things to care about?




My guess is that the high definition website is a digital mockup while the screencapture leak of Harden sporting the jersey is the real thing in person unless of course one is the fake.

The main thing to notice is 2k's location proportion is correct based on where the numbers line up with the two side arrows. The problem is that these two arrows are stretched long in the vertical direction somewhat, causing the numbers to look stretched. Meaning, 2k may have to shrink both parts (arrows and side numbers).

Otherwise, the ratio/proportion locations are "correct," but also "wrong." simultaneously.

Because the website digital mockup doesn't even match up with the leaked Harden screenshot.




In other words, which one is the real Houston Rockets jersey?

I hate when ppl complain about OS members being "petty" when they point this stuff out. If you don't care, stay out of the thread. I've never touched myplayer mypark, so I don't peruse those threads.

Anyway... 3 big uniform issues for me

1. Clippers blue
2. Rockets numbers are huge.
3. "Cleveland" wordmark is way too low

I reached out to MLB the Show art director literally days before game went gold, and he was able to fix like 3 uniform issues. I gave him solid reference pictures just like OP did. If it gets fixed, great! If it doesn't, at least we tried.

We need someone to make an official "these jersey/accessories in 2k18 are incorrect" thread so we don't get one of these popping up for every incorrect arm band and sock length in the coming weeks.

Don't know if this means anything. NBA2k18 (3rd picture) Harden's jersey is a bit more wrinkled though.

I don't know why people always feel the need to take shots at the people who are about art and visuals. It's uncalled for and I see it all the time. I promise you it won't take away focus from the gameplay, you guys can relax.

I've learned my lesson, for the most part, over the years. I remember back when shoes were a major issue, before 2K had a wealth of authentic options. They might have only had generic shoes for all I know. But I remember people being so adamant and passionate about getting authentic shoes in the game with accurate color schemes. And I would be that person saying "who cares about shoes! I don't even notice the shoes when I play. It would be a waste of time for 2k." Now look where we are today where 2K has more shoes than the average person knows about. At this point it would be weird to think of 2k not having authentic shoes.

My main point is all of these little inaccuracies and issues people point out will only lead to a better, more authentic product. It's not game breaking or a deal breaker if the numbers on the Rocket's jersey are too big, if the clippers blue is lighter than it should be, if court colors are off, if a player has the wrong haircut or facial hair, etc. A lot of people might not even notice these inaccuracies. But pointing out flaws and getting them fixed will only make the game better and more authentic. Just look at what happened with body models from last year to this year.

Some of us don't have an eye for this stuff and some of us might flat out not care but for those that do keep it up. It'll only result in a product that improves more and more each year.

the one on right is captured in-game from leaked gameplay. Hopefully they've adjusted it since then. The pic of harden 2k just released does look better.
