No, currently OOB plays are there for every team to share.

The work it would take to give each team their own is competeing against the work it takes to maintain the freelances or expand them.

Speaking of that I don't think I mentioned that we had to reduce the amount of freelances. Was no way to get them all on the new motion system and I didn't want anything running on the old one.

I think we are down to 20 or something near that.

I did update all the OOB plays this year to stuff teams ran last year. I didn't use any you sent me on twitter just for spite. #RedVinesIsTheBestVines

And it took this 36 year old a few tries to figure the whole thing out

Yes, advanced rotations are still there. The only reason why they should have an issue following is they didn't have a dead ball in time to lineup with the subs.

The time-out Ai is not currently aware of the advanced rotations desires IIRC.

          What freelances are removed ??

Is ACE making now live changes of what is currently happening on the floor?

          For example :

after timeout i changed squad to small ball and go on a run is Ai going to react to that with their own small ball too or something to stop me?
          2k18 fixes

Bigs can cover to much ground on defense(they are too fast)

Late contest on laups matter too much.

          Random blocks doing pumpfakes.

Leaning shots for guys who have catch and shoot badge should be removed.

Would be interested to hear when would you expect a big to cut and when would you want him to spot-up ? would you want that based on solely tendencies or opptunity ?

            1. I think it should be a tendency to determine IF, WHEN, and WHERE a big cuts or spots up when his man helps on a drive.

            2. WHEN could be broken down into immediate, average, very late. Determine how soon a big moves after his defender leaves.

            3. IF could be broken down into. Wide open, slightly open, barely open. How open a player has to be before he cuts or spots up.

            4. WHERE could cover where he goes. Under rim, opposite box, baseline wing.

You have done a great job with the offensive Ai one of the most realistic and enjoyable parts of the game. Much appreciated.

So if curry wanted to curl can you passed it early and it was open instead of getting a layup you would receive a catch out at the three. You may throw a pass or two away but that should be an anomaly.

Whats up big Czar! Is that kind of technology even possible in the future? Sounds like alot of computing

The Warriors IQ on those types of on the fly variances is off the charts.

I know you kinda touched on this but when I play Summer League and there are a bunch of NBA Hopefuls, FAs, and Rookies in the game, there is always, "Hot Potato."

                So my question is,

If there is a team full of low touches/usage/shot tendencies, are we SURE those players will fall into one of those categories? (Ball Mover, Screener, Shot Makers, etc........)

I just want to be clear on that
                Concrete evidence/videos please

This helps to simulate getting downhill on a defender.

So if you are coming down in transition and the defender is standing still or moving forward the system accounts for this differently than if you both were standing still.

Is this similar to the archetypes we were able to assign a few years ago when editing a player? We used to be able to assign everyone an archetype, it used to show up in the edit name screen as "All-Around Player", "Pass-First" etc. I'm a roster editor and I always try to be as minimal as possible with my edits because I've always wondered if I was causing some sort of structural damage editing player heights, shot tendencies, drive tendencies, attributes, etc.

I hear you, man. This year's game is shaping up to be a classic. So much packed in, so many things looking good, a lot of legacy issues (apparently) cleaned up ... we might have a new GOAT 2K after this.

The work put into this year's game is incredible, especially on a 1-year cycle.

People don't remember that the hoop knowledge in the forums was so deep that I read a long time before ever posting because the knowledge level was so high here. Not just in basketball but the history of sports video-games.

Old head here, and big fan. We are really fortunate to have someone like you in this community interacting with us like this! These youngins have no idea. You've been consistent through the years with all of this. Just remembering your breakdowns of CH....you brought those games to life for me and your posts back then was the reason I've always made OS a mainstay in my favorites tab. After taking a couple of years off from these boards, it's nice to see some of the OS old heads still post here so I feel a little less lonely.

Just wanted to say that I am blown away with all this information and the depth of this game is unreal. We have really come a looooong way.

In a time where I feel like all these games want to cater to a larger casual and younger online crowd, I just wanted to thank you for all your dedication to keeping food on the table for the SIM guys and keeping us full. We're all eating this stuff up

I get a real kick out of making fictional draft classes every year and seeing how the game expresses all the players that i create, both in gameplay and in MyLeague. It has this kind of "playing god with the NBA landscape" appeal that i get a huge kick out of. I actually feel bad for guys who haven't discovered that kind of joy yet. Anyway it would be so awesome to know what attributes/tendencies trigger what kind of hidden ID's within the gameplay so that i can really pinpoint on the kind of players i wanna create.
And after a few months of bingeing on the game some of the hardcore guys from OS can probably give you some potentially useful feedback on the hidden freelance ID's eventually if you're interested

Czar what about the abillity of the little guys to go for layups high off the glass over the centers, taking floaters without being blocked and generally scoring in the paint, i know many people didn't like that they couldn't use Isaiah Thomas as he is irl , i played more with Clippers and while i was able to free myself for midrange shots with CP3, i couldn't really make much damage around the rim, is it more balanced now that is, can small guys hit layups and floaters over bigs?
