Cpu cavs like to pass to Thompson in that situation and then he dont know what to do its a waste of possesion.

Help defense forcing offense into a bad possession. Sounds about right. Hopefully this isn't a consistent issue on the higher levels. The AI should have enough soltuions to handle this and it has not been an issue in all the AI vs AI and User vs ai games I have watched and played.

But if it turns out to be an issue will look at soltuions in 2k19 since we have no planned game-play patches.

What his means is help is helping off your worst shooters LOL.

I'd just find a way to keep those poor shooters in more effective places by running sets. Or bench them.

I like the sound of that. Just a Day 1 patch then and we'll let it ride for awhile? Perfect. Thanks for all your work, Czar, this is shaping up to be an epic 2K year.

My design gives you unlimited amount of plays per player ( limited by playbook size) and still allows you to narrow which plays are assigned by play-type.

Each year we have added more play-types to assist with this.

In game development there are no perfect solutions. To get something you have to give up something. We could make that change but you would have the issues I described above.

I know you answered this already lol, but can you please let someone know to Put back the stamina on the On the Fly menu---For the MyGM/MyLeague Players, this is vital.

Thank you sir and the game looks amazing so far

When you allow users to edit as much stuff as we do it creates a monstrous amount of work to cover the what if scenarios. That is why other sports games usually won't offer anything close to the user customization that we do. But that comes with an obvious cost.

If I tightly control all the variables it takes much less time to deliver a well controlled end product.
I can't imagine it would be anything to complex. As a general rule I like to separate the players. Make big guys slower, less athletic. Jumpshots, adjust ratings. Ill adjust tendencies to make sure guys never do something they shouldn't (e.g. Dwight fadeaways).

As an example of what he may be speaking about, last year on a stream he pointed out why guys like DeAndre Jordan have post up in their play types or non-drivers have iso in their play types. He explained that if they don't they will have no way of playing against mismatches. This was a problem for me, as I'd edited out all the play types that I thought shouldnt be there. I had no idea there was a system there that I had effectively abolished.

What else do we think he might be talking about?

Thanks man! It is amazing to see someone in your position taking the time to answer all these questions. I loved your post earlier where you talked about remembering when you were the one asking the questions, etc. Really admirable attitude and IMO one not nearly enough people adopt once they have made it in their industry. Things like your presence here are one of the reasons I'm a continued customer and supporter of 2K.

This will be interesting for me as it's my first current gen 2k. I played 15 last year on PS3. I was accustomed to editing tendencies for everyone. I edited playbooks to get rid of plays that didn't work. I used the massive thread from years ago that detailed what plays didn't work. Thanks to all those guys because I had some really good seasons!!

Anyway, it will different not editing everything so much. I hope it's good out of the box. I'm excited to pick this up!

These guys at 2K do some great work but it still usually requires a lot of user editing as well. One year dev cycles make it tough for them to cover everything in such a short time frame.

I have a few questions I'd love to ask

1)did you change the quick subs from the green triangle? When you press on the dpad to make quick subs. That system was horrible because it didn't have the numbers anymore to find out how fatigued your player was. I really hope it was fixed and turned back to the way it was before.

                              2) why was tipoff, in bounding and passing such an issue in 2k17? I've never seen a 2k game where both players jump and miss the ball completely. Same with the inbound - you'd have to wait for the referees to give you the ball but they take much longer. This was never an issue before 2k17.

I've also experienced fouls where I was on offense, I get fouled when driving to the basket and the OTHER guy gets to shoot free throws?!
