My tip is - don't play the ps4 version!
I have a couple of people on my team (Spurs) that I haven't quite mastered yet. Best tip is to practice with the same guys over and over.
If you can't quite get it there is always the option of Real Player % for shooting. I use it on free throws to introduce some randomness.Comment

Bobby, since you've been playing while traveling, have you seen any more Save Data corruption? I've been limiting my playing away from home since there's no clear cut cause for the corruption yet.My tip is - don't play the ps4 version!

Re: NBA 2K18 - Nintendo Switch
I had it happen yesterday. I haven't started any career modes, so only had to change my settings back. The biggest pain is having to go through making a player again. I have zero interest in that mode, but there's no way to skip having to enter in an email address or the vitals.Currently Playing:

2K needs to mod the game to be play offline. I never got a corrupted data until I played the game not being online. (wifi)Boy this habit is as bad as dope!!!

Re: NBA 2K18 - Nintendo Switch
Problem is so many modes rely on VC so they need to be connected in order to be played. They do still need to optimize how the system is handling the data when it switches into an offline mode to avoid corruption. I hope Nintendo isn't the one holding the patch up like they supposedly did with NBA Playgrounds.Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 - Nintendo Switch
Since this is primarily for on-the-fly gaming for me (I prefer Live on my PS4), my games are of the 'Play Now' variety.
Some quibbles.
I will state the lower FPS - if that's causing it - is problematic. Players slide by when defending, almost doing multiple moves for every press. Good luck staying in front of someone even with LZ pressed.
There's also a very obvious, frustrating delay when shooting that makes outside shots overly challenging for no reason. The shot stick is the only option as it lessen but does not eliminate the problem.
Your teammates are morons defending 3 point shooters. I get lit up because my dufus teammates fail to guard the perimeter, D preferences, be damned. They also space horribly on O. It's pick and roll, all the time, or bust.
Load screens will also occasionally hang for no reason. Fade to black, then...?
Also, halftime/pregame/TOs and related cut scenes are often non-responsive to requests to skip.
Auto sub player rotations are terrible. Wrong people, wrong minutes.
Before I'm labeled all doom and gloom, the ability to play a full fledged bball title in portable fashion is such a guilty pleasure. Despite these quibbles, this gets more burn than Live for this reason. These issues, however, need to patched. I'm optimistic this will happen.Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 - Nintendo Switch
Has anyone's feelings changed after 10 days with the Switch version? I'm really starting to dive into My Player more and more and I'm seeing less audio glitches during the cutscenes before and after games. While the framerate does drop in those cutscenes, I'm no longer losing the audio as badly.
I also haven't gotten the corrupted save issue since Day 1 or 2 again as well.
Mind you, I used to play 2k almost yearly from 2k-2k11, but my last one was 2k13 on the WiiU. This game is MILES past that game in terms of control and overall package, so I may not have seen or played the issues that were in 2k16 or 17.
Overall, I'm still continually impressed that EVERYTHING is on this little machine!!XBox Gamertag: djbeth77

Re: NBA 2K18 - Nintendo Switch
My files got corrupted one time. Nothing since then although I grit my teeth every time I lose connection with wifi haha. I had some weird audio issues at first too but haven't had them in a while.
All in all i'm getting adjusted to this version and have no plans of playing on XBone, PS4 or PC.Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 - Nintendo Switch
My feeling's a bit more negative.
I'm finding it near impossible to stay in front of ANY ball handler due to non-responsive controls and/or frame rate. This is not helped by the most moronic AI defense that is almost never on the right man (to potentially compensate) or switches properly. Yes, I've turned help D sliders WAY up to compensate, no change. I've been playing 2K for ages; I know it's not me.
I also see weird menu and now a full blown 'need to quit' game freeze rear their head.
I love playing this on the go, but these are getting my goat, admittedly.Comment
