Re: Inability to see attribute numbers on upgrade screen
Just as bad, just saw a video of a guy playing and when you go into badges it doesn't show which ones are upgradeable to gold or which ones are bronze. Yikes. This whole game feels like you're taking a shot in the dark with 100s of hours of gameplay.

It makes no sense (again)
I'm seriosly thinking of leaving in stand-by myplayer, mycareer, myneighborhood and pro-am until someone (2k or the community) will give me the full picture.
In the meantime, I would make a decent amount of VC playing other modes or using the app, to spend when I have all the information for deciding my build.Comment

At least 2k give us other things to do in the game lolComment

Re: Inability to see attribute numbers on upgrade screen
yeah, too bad I was very excited to start the new pro am season with my guys, but I don't see any alternative.
Hopefully in MyLeague you will be able to see the rosters before choosing the team lol!Comment

Probably too late in the day to have it in the day 1 patch, but a couple of weeks in should do the trick.Comment

Re: Inability to see attribute numbers on upgrade screen
Im finally starting to acknowledge this: we have to hit every (yellow/orange) soft cap in every attribute before we can start progressing towards the (white) hard caps?
And we dont dictate the white cap progress?
Is everyone going to end up with Post Scoring, Rebounding and Strength regardless of how irrelevent it is to their success or their build in general on road to 85?
I had intention to be an 85 while ignoring the attributes i have no care for but if I do ignore hitting any single soft cap, the catch is I will not reach 85 overall.
The door is pretty much shut with me. This is becomming way more convoluted than I am prepared for - way more box cutting than I was prepared for.
Check in at about 28m into this stream where it shows on his Twitch that about 20 something minutes has elapsed. He purchases his upgrades until he reaches 85 OVR and it appears this Overall is only possible by first hitting every attributes soft cap.

you can earn +1 white bar even if you havent upgrade anything as far as I understand because it shows the process in the after-game reportComment

Re: Inability to see attribute numbers on upgrade screen
My final conclusion & outlook on the 2k18 My Career building process: it's designed for 2K to sculpt the player for you.
Your build has preset soft caps that must be hit in order to achieve 85. You then have opportunity to progress key attributes beyond their soft cap but only at 2k's discretion.
I've lost a lot of leverage in user control over the building process.

Re: Inability to see attribute numbers on upgrade screen
There is a tread for it (dont know how to link it). Terrible "design choice", again.
I really believe the same way of thinking lead to this one as well (profit goals).
Remember how last bar for say midrange shooting in 17 didnt add any value to attribute itself (would still cost vc though, of course). Would be funny if 18 did the same, and choose to upgrade it for you anyways...
