Inability to see attribute numbers on upgrade screen

If you're not sure what the issue that I'm talking about is, this video explains it pretty well.

Sometimes 2K makes changes that we don't like that we can attribute to at least an attempt to do something good, an example being losing a lot of Create a Player flexibility in order to give us better faces to work with. But obfuscating the number while we are spending VC seems to have no other goal than to pull the wool over our eyes. The lack of respect 2K is showing to their players is disgusting.

Beluba, LD2K, SimBaller, whoever, if you have an explanation for this that isn't as blatantly disrespectful as it seems, I think we deserve to hear it. If you don't even have a defense for this decision, it just makes it all the worse.

Everybody talking about that, its a big problem i agree ,we dont want to waste vc for a player who is not what we wanted.
    2k18 fixes

Bigs can cover to much ground on defense(they are too fast)

Late contest on laups matter too much.

    Random blocks doing pumpfakes.

Leaning shots for guys who have catch and shoot badge should be removed.

That is a major problem I agree, would like to know with my build how much can I reach in every category

I have a bad feeling that this will be one of those things that devs/2K will conviently ignore throughout the year. They haven't said anything regarding it. I could see them fixing the CAP and then thinking that's enough and they'll never reply to anything regarding tbis

The biggest problem I have with this have to do with the times when an attribute doesn't increase when upgrading. For instance if I'm upgrading my ball-handling but the speed with ball doesn't increase at that level. When this happens I like to wait to upgrade if VC is tight. I'll be peeved if I'm dumping 10,000 VC into something that doesn't even upgrade a desired attribute. This has gotta change asap

Why exactly does it matter ? You still upgrade the desired attribute a certain amount and you still see where that lands you in terms of reaching the ceiling for said character.

Same on the creation screen. You know that the default you have offered (be it height, weight or wingspand) is, well, the default. Than you get bonus or malus for changing that default. And it shows you if it is a drastic change or a minor one graphically.

Also: "You will not see what your attributes are until you spend VC" ?? Actually you will see it as soon as you fire up the full game and load mycareer. Makes no sense what he is whinging about.

Guess someone with the PC version of the game can just fire up the cheat engine and start recording what every stat increase tells you, then throw it into some kind calculator online.

Which is incredibly silly, but that's going to happen if 2k doesn't fix it.

But you can't see the ceiling. What if your player's handle maxes out at 85 instead of 86, and you couldn't know that until you bought the attributes? If speed boosting is your thing, it's a waste of money because as of now, you can't see the attributes until they have been upgraded and that's exclusive to looking at your player card.

                  It really is a problem.

So you will make a 7'3" guy and spend 80K on VC to up your dunking and it will end up at 69. Then you are left to decide whether to continue with this build you no longer want or to start over and pump another 80K into a character you *hope* will be able to unlock those animations.

Last year some levels did not even give you a +1 to that category! Can you imagine spending 10K VC this year and it doesn't level you up, and you had no way to know?

Why can't 2K have just left it as it was, where they show you what your player can max out at during player creation? There's only one reason and it's not good.
Again, can't you see your rating as soon as you enter mycareer in the full game ? If so, simply wait to buy VC until then.

Not going to buy the games untill this is fixed and im going to make sure none of my friends buy it either. I wonder whats going on in their staff meetings.
"Hey guys i have a good idea, lets replace the attribute numbers into bars, the community will love it".

And why isn't there a "Defense" stat? only blocks and steals.

Wow, that is unacceptable. Especially since 2k is trying to become an e-sport. Last year there were no way to check badge progression and now we have this issue. All I ask for is transparency and everything explained before I invest my money in your product. As of right now, this looks really bad and I do hope they have a day one patch for it.

This is a MAJOR issue. 2K is a GREAT company but it's things like this that makes me scratch my head trying to understand why they would keep doing this.

You literally cannot tell what your attribute caps at. All you can do is assume. I pray they have a quick Day 1 patch for this but I know it's HIGHLY unlikely. All these archetypes, being able to mix and match them, height, weight and etc factoring in your attributes already is a lot to figure out. So combining you can't even see actual attribute ratings makes it almost impossible to choose for some people.

There is a max of 25 levels so I assume each level would be worth about 4 attribute points with last being worth 3 to reach 99. However this is using logic I'm not 100% sure 2K is using so not showing the amount I agree is BS as everyone else is saying..
