Re: Anyone here playing NBA 2K on PC?

I've always wanted to play 2k on PC but I have been so intimidated on building my own PC, outside of the mods is it really that much better visually then say the PS4 Pro version of 2k on consoles?

I play in 1440P at 144Hz...and let me just tell you lol.....the consoles are probably about 10 years away from matching the experience I have right now....10 years. Obviously everyone doesn't have crazy hardware that can achieve those settings, but the graphics / court mods ALONE even on 1080P make the game incredibly superior to the consoles even with that checkerboard nonsense people are calling "4K"

What are some mods that make the PC experience worth it? I have a decent PC build and I'm thinking about hopping over due to the change to the CAP system.

Man...head over to NLSC or Moddingway and look at all the mods the creators made! Scoreboards, Floor and stanchions below the baskets. This year I'll be getting 2K for PC and will get live for Xbox when I wanna switch things up.

I have a 970 too, 2K17 runs fine for me.

Everything lol. Player faces that 2k did a poor job on are vastly improved thanks to modders. TNT, ESPN, NBA TV, etc. broadcast packages. Better lighting and shaders, uniforms and courts, even correcting the color of the ball. The list goes on and on.

This is what I was playing with during the playoffs last season, and there were a ton more things that I could have done to make it better:

I hate that I pre-order for the Friday release and didn't get to play til Sunday last year.

2K16 unlocked for pre-download on Wednesday but had all sorts of issues on PC - Leftos was running around like made trying to suggest ways to play it.

2K17 unlocked on the Friday so I just sat there on Friday night after work blankly staring at 33% turn into 34% at 11pm...... FML.

Hoping 2K18 is a Wednesday unlock just so I can actually enjoy the pre-order release date like everyone else.

It's all I'm thinking about this week now haha.....
https://steamdb.info/app/577800/ release date is set for the 14th.

Are you running max settings? (Except for the resolution)

**** - THANK YOU. Been dying for this news.

Now it's whether or not it's enough time to download before release...... edge of seat stuff.

you dont need any 3rd Party Programms to install Mods. just copy and paste a plugin into the nba 2k folder and after that copy and paste the Mod files.

I play on PC too, for all the mods you can get.
I used to play it on consoles but since I bought my new gaming computer last year I've been PC gaming more.
