For me the owner really wanted Ty Lawson. At first I ignored him because we have John Wall. But the owner wouldn't let it go. He kept calling me asking why I have not contacted Atlanta yet. So I eventually made a few inquiries, first trying to add Ty Lawson to my Beal for draft pick package which they rejected. Then I tried to do a Frazier plus 2nd round pick which was also rejected.

Day of the deadline Andrew says Atlanta had a change of heart and agreed to our terms, and it was a straight Frazier for Lawson deal.

The story is that the owner is a fan enamored with analytics. He sees a report that player X is playing great based on analytics and orders you to acquire that player.

You can completely ignore his request, or attempt to make the deal. If you successfully make the deal the assistant GM would not make a trade on his own.

What I am not sure on is what happens if you never attempt to acquire the player. I am fairly confident nothing happens other than the owner getting unhappy, but not absolutely sure.

Oh something happens all right. In my 76er's franchise, they kept going on and on about trading for Maurice freaking speights. Naturally I ignored this idiotic suggestion, until I get a nice message stating that Andrew traded away Joel Embid for Speights at the last second. I nearly launched my controller at the TV!

    Screw you Andrew!

Idc how analytical anyone is, a 6 year old German kid who knows literally nothing about the NBA STILL knows not to trade Embiid for Speights.

Has anyone played much of the second season in MyGM? I got to the draft and stopped for now, but I'm worried that all three of the "big three" guys from this auto-created draft class are going to be game-breakingly good. (I dunno if it generates the same names for each of them every time; I've got Jackson Baldwin, Jeffrey Staples, and Mirka... something. I forget his last name.) Baldwin, the SF, has 99 speed. NINETY-NINE. HE'S 6'10"! Based on attributes, all three of them are going to be All-NBA their rookie years. And I used a tool for PC to check their peak beginnning and end, as well as their actual potential, just in case they were designed to be busts. Nope. (Mirka looks like he might underachieve, but he's not gonna be Dario Milicic or anything.)

Anybody actually play the season yet to confirm or put to rest my fears that these three are just gonna wreck the league?

Wow! They really couldn't send a lower level player over for Speights!? I'm not feeling that at all.

Seems some users are getting their core players traded in this force trade scenario & some are getting end of the bench players traded. Guess it's a toss up.

I think it was supposed to be okafor getting traded, but I had already sent him packing like 2 days before the trade deadline and was temporarily without a backup Center.

Hello. How about the coach mode workaround thru simcast live? Is it still working?

Dont quote me but I believe someone said it's not in the game this year.

I see. That's disappointing. I tried the Choose Sides option however it's not the same as the coach mode I'm looking for.

It's bad. I drafted Baldwin and he put up 25pts 7ast and 8rb per game in his first season. Probably would have won the league MVP if it wasn't for a crazy season by Harden.

Wow, the cpu generates some REALLY highly rated prospects in the draft classes with the setting at 50. My very first test season i saw a guy that was 87 overall. Then the 2nd year i saw a class that had an 88 ovr guy, AND an 85 ovr guy, AND an 81 ovr guy. In the same class. And then in the 3rd year i saw a guy rated 91. That is way too high for a rookie, even LeBron wouldn't have been rated 87 in his 1st year, let alone 91.

Definitely gonna have to lower the draft class strength, but i fear that will ruin the 2nd round sleepers, so i will just have to edit draft classes as i go then, until 2K tune it a bit (if they do)

Ok, not as bad but even with Okafor's stock being down as of late that's still a trade I wouldn't condone.

I think even more than status is how much you value a player, even of low value. Meaning I would probably be pissed if I ran into that force trade scenario & Wayne Ellington was traded without my consent.

Exactly, ratings should be in line with expectations surrounding their current ability and past history from players with similar skills and that specific draft position. If a rookie goes off and has a tremendous, maybe even record-breaking season, then so be it, the guy surpassed all expectations. But if they're rated in line with current Embiid, Giannis, Kyrie, etc. AS A ROOKIE, you're basically saying that this 19 or 20 year old kid is one of the best in the planet and he should perform better than establish NBA superstars in their prime, and that type of performance is expected of young players just entering the league. Just typing that sounds completely absurd.

It that was the case, they would basically be graduating to a league of lesser skill, which just defies logic in every sense.

I turned mines all the way down to 30 and decided to make my own class every second year (assuming the CPU one would always be busts).

Nope. First year with a CPU class and it's all 70 rated guys then one guy who's a 94 lmfao.

I think I may just go with the hometown Bulls this year... Something about tanking for a top draft pick for one or two years and $60+ million in cap space really interests me
