Anyone's difficulty keep changing to ONLINE PARK after getting out of a MyCareer game?

I want it to stay on HOF but it keeps changing to ONLINE PARK and I have to manually change it back.

Its really annoying having to go back and fix player shoes after what seems like every update. This is the third time that after an update road unis are defaulted to white shoes and its annoying as hell. So many small issues that have nothing to do with gameplay that makes this game really irritating.

Still loving the game. Only thing is the servers online is SO LAGGY & unresponsive, I feel like it's gotten worse. Another thing is players miss the EASIEST layups, even wide open. Most of em back iron too much & trust me I know how to do layups.

good bounce back from last years version. I didnt liek last years version at all.

only complaint so far is with the color commentary/play by play. The commentary and play by play has more of a broadcast radio feel to it. Not every pass or every thing happening on the court needs to be said.
Let the game breath and flow without any commentary a little bit more during gameplay.

Yep. I have to check every time because it says "online park" frequently. It seems to happen to me after I play in the park most often.

Still don't get why they were SO quick to patch the simcast method for grinding VC (wasn't even really a glitch, too lmao) but people are literally not getting VC after mycareer games and nothing has even really been said about it.

I love playing mypark and I am sorry If this has been asked but the my court games for me are having massive framerate issues. It just isn't smooth at all. Anyonehaving this issue?

I am having an issue with crazy frame rate lag on park. Seems to run fine on PS4 Pro if you want to drop another $400 to play a functional game.

My game works fine in PROAM, but park is a frame rate lag fest. There are a lot of videos on YouTube talking about it.

I may end up lowering the cpu 3 point shooting sliders to 45 if they keep killing me with 60 rated shooters. Ha

I had to do that. CPU was just draining 3's against me. Upwards of 60%+ constantly.

I've barely had to touch the sliders though, outside of the CPU 3's and a few tweaks to user defense. Game plays great offline. Still holding out hope 2k patches online and offline separately this year, or else this gameplay is going to go south.


I an unrelated note, it's funny to see the Impressions thread has turned into the Complaints Only thread.

I had to do that. CPU was just draining 3's against me. Upwards of 60%+ constantly.

And as long as 2k keeps trying Cater to BOTH type of gamers..that's all you're going to ever see..and rightly so,both of us SIM players who maybe don't play offline and people who do play mypark etc etc..deserve a great game also.

There's no way to fix it..need separate games.

BTW that's what was killing me also..I'm talking average 3 pt shooters..draining them easily.. what did you set the slider down to?

I'm a little bit sick so my English is even worse than normal, but I will try to give a impression anyway.

First of all: I think gameplay-wise this is the best 2k game they ever released. Animations are great, defending feels so real and even the CPU play competitive, but never feels like cheating.
The big problem? There is not really anything to do with this game offline, because every game mode is so buggy. But every other thread is filled with those complaints, so I don't think this is the right thread for this.

But the other issue I came across is that the CPU messes up the individual matchups sometimes in Defense. I've played the first 2 games of MyLeague with the Hawks. After Schröder got hot against the Mavs they changed his defensive assignement to... Dirk! In the 2nd game against the Hornets the same thing happened with Dwight.
But this doesn't seem to appear every game, because after those games it didn't happen again. I don't know if this has something to do with the coaches, because against those teams this always seems to be like that. I replayed these teams 3 times by now.

So I can live with this, but it would be great when you guys would have seen this bug too so that I don't think I'm crazy.

There is a glitch where the CPU changes your defensive assignments after every timeout. Go to your matchups screen after a timeout and you'll see what I mean. You've got to remember to change them back the way you wanted every single time. Your example could show that the CPU does this to its own matchups as well. Definitely a problem and needs to be fixed in a patch.

Contact feels very awkward in 2K18.

The more I play it, the less it feels like there's a new "physics" engine.

It's definitely more based on some hidden calculations in the ratings rather than based on physics.

Blatant shooting fouls are not being called on jumpshots, where you hear the contact sound (and the groan). Reach-in fouls either don't get called or get called way too easily. Fighting through contact on layups don't result in shooting fouls.

There's also a lot of phasing and warping in the animations, where it's almost like 2K needs to complete the animation no matter what, resulting in body parts going through players.

I've had more than a few animations where the CPU drop-stepped THROUGH my defender and not around. I thought I had the CPU locked down in the post but they randomly phased through my defender.

It's really weird to say this, but I think the freshness of 2K18 has worn off for me.

2K should've kept shot contests the same as 2K17.

2K should've made dribble pullups the same as 2K17.

2K should've reduced stand-still interactions (like stop having my defender move randomly against the ball-handler).

Another thing. 2K still hasn't learnt to make their defenders play team defense. 2K CPU on-ball defense is like perfection. The refuse to give an inch backwards when I'm driving to the hoop, so it's literally impossible to pull-up for a good shot. It's either 3pt or layup, which is fine (because that's what's most effective) but what if I wanna play with Kobe or MJ?

I feel like 2K still misunderstood what made their gameplay odd. Instead, they added more animations into an animation-riddled game which has broken it. There's just too much "The animation must be completed" and it just ends up with players phasing through each other.

Bring back Broadcast Generic cam Please!

Some teams are just unplayable with the "team broadcast cam". It's a shame don't having it and it's just a couple line of code.
