I liked the Prelude, but I'm not really feeling the full game so far as compared to 2K17. Momentum is way overdone and now the flow of the games feels too bipolar. Everyone is either on fire and simply cannot miss, or can't hit wide open layups, and that applies to both User and CPU. The averages work out in the end and the final stats look alright, but that's because the momentum keeps switching between extremes. Runs and momentum worked better and more realistically in 2K17, when there was a good balance between streaks, slumps and average play. Conversely, I'm finding 2K18 really frustrating and random because of this.

I'll get some footage if it happens again, it's just frustrating to see guys like this running the PnR over and over, not reflective of real life and very uncharacteristic of recent 2k games. I've beaten the drum for them as much as anyone over the last few editions of the game, I was addicted to 17, it was awesome, I'm just seeing some weird things from AI offense this year

The same thing just happened to me again only against the Knicks, with Lance Thomas as the PnR ballhandler. 3 times in the 1st qtr alone. What's weird is that I went and looked at his and Sabonis' plays, they are both set to "no" on play initiator and do not have PnR ballhandler as a listed play. I'm not sure what's going on, whether the cpu is calling a play that's overriding these settings somehow or what.

Everyone here that loves this game to death is just happy you can drive whenever you want and finish or get a foul, and you can hit off balance jump shots. The game plays nothing like real basketball, and players on the court still dont react like humans do on a basketball court, still just all feels robotic and scripted.Comment

Only problem was, even McGee couldn't win a jumpball over Thomas. Am pretty sure it wasn't my timing. Could win a jumpball at the start of the game. Was wondering why my player couldn't jump when it's a jumpball during the game.

It’s a good game but like most have echoed its not really ready. Gonna shelve it for a bit...most likely till the SimWorld project is out.
Things like CPU not calling TOs is just beta stuff.

I just got two back-to-back technical fouls for calling a timeout when I did not have one.
I've tried everywhere but I can't find where it shows me how many timeouts I have left. I know it's got to be somewhere but I'm just missing it.

The thing that grates me the most is that I can put the CPU's ball security slider on zero and they can still dribble through contact and players at will without loosing the ball. On 50 if I just graze a defender, I'm losing the ball.
So much of my good defense get negated by the lack of ball tangibility for the CPU. It's annoying because then I have to lower their shooting sliders much lower than it should be to compensate for their ability to recklessly dribble inside of the paint.Jordan Mychal Lemos
