I feel like you're far downplaying the effect of 70 (or 74 as my 6'4 Shot Creator/Playmaker has) dunk.

And that's just a FEW names, alot of those who are known to be proficient in game dunkers. You know who don't have a problem dunking on fast breaks, those guys. You know who DO have problems dunking on fast breaks? This guy, along with alot more in this thread. Stop saying it's user error, it's getting really annoying and honestly it's beginning to be insulting of our intelligence.

Good for you. You must just be the greatest 2K player in history. All other players clearly are not on your level of hitting square or rstick. My guy is 88 overall with 15 dunks equipped. It is amazing somehow I can figure out how to dunk properly in mycourt, but it just does not work properly in other modes. I was a L2 in 2k15, and L3 in 2k16, and L2 in 2K17. I know how to play the game. Just because you are not having an issue does not mean it doesn't exist for others. The issue exists. I am guessing the vast majority of the people in this thread are not noobs who have never played 2K before. Next time maybe try not to be so condescending. Brad

Of people not dunking, or of my guy dunking. I'll play some tonight and get clips if need be. Gym Reaper has played with me over the weekend. Particularly in a game where I caught back to back posters. He can confirm aswell.

Another My GM/My Team vs My Career battles on these forums. I sound a like a broken record for saying this year after year but we really need 2 games next year. These 2 modes do not go hand to hand. My GM players have full conrol with sliders and every aspect of the game they dont want the game touched because they can fine tune anything. I get it. But, what they dont get is we have zero control and can only control 1 player. So if I go for a dunk but decide to pass guess what he CPU will not behave how I want him to behave and more often then other I will end up running other way because shot taken was bad or they didn't do what I wanted.

That's the biggest issue with this game ever since 2k decided to "tone" things down to cater to sim players. Guess what 2k your biggest customer is My Career not My GM nor My Team or any other mode. I feel as if every year more toning and more nerfing is done to take the fun factor out of My Career to cater to that mode. I will never understand this and wish this mode played like 2k16 that to me was the best and last good My Career year.

The youtube community, particularly myplayer guys, get people up in arms and get things patched unnecessarily. I get lumped in with "Park guys" because I play it more than anything, but I want my basketball game to act like a BASKETBALL GAME.

The update fixed it on my end. I got three fastbreak dunks, two wide open and one with a defender a little bit closer.

Also tried to dunk in traffic and missed badly, but the player tried the dunk. All I was asking for. I don't wanna catch bodies, I don't wanna finish strong in traffic, I just want the ability to go up fast when wide open and with stamina left. Thanks Mike

So play HOF or if you that good dont even upgrade your player play with 60 to make things harder for you. I build a character each year to shoot like Jordan and dunk like Carter aka slasher/shot creator. There is no one to tell me I can't have that and it's not realistic. You want realistic go outside and play on a real court. Anyone that upgrades a player to dunk should dunk and those that don't shouldn't. It's that simple and no ifs and but in the NBA talk needed. My Career progression to max 99 should take away from sim because at 99 lvl status one would think you should be above the rest. I mean why even build a player if you can't dunk as a slasher? I for one dont enjoy winning a game with 20 points and 15 assists because I have to pass the ball as soon as I'm the paint. I know if CPU defender is near me I will miss a layup or not even attempt a dunk so half the time I am forced to dish it out even with a clear visible lane to the hook. No one in this mode plays to have a average NBA like player "NO ONE". So all those well in the NBA talks make me laugh.

Does not seem right. Dion Waiters dunking on every fast break if he is open. All those guys are doing the same thing. You have space and some speed they can all dunk.
Which was my player can't seem to do. Still need to check when i get home though.

only during drills. Outside of drills I was only able to trigger one standing dunk.

You're being too hyperbolic. I'm 88 overall and being a "superstar" in career isn't a problem, and putting up numbers everywhere. The thing is, you're wanting NBA Jam. That game currently exists. You want what you're asking for in 5 on 5, Live exists. 2K is upfront about being a simulation. EVERY YEAR they are upfront about that. Suddenly it's a surprise when it drops. I don't want "realistic". I want the simulation experience advertised. I'm currently getting that experience.

I dunk crazy in practice, in my court, in the warmups, but not in games or the park lol. It's puzzling and very strange. I'm a 6'7 SG Slashing Sharpshooter. I hope they fix this. I don't want to dunk all the time but at least 75-80% ya know?!

Oh and my dunk packages are all equipped btw...

Clearly you think you're a superstar and you're in this thread to tell us all how good you are. If you are not having any issues with dunking why are you even here? Oh that's right my bad you're here to tell us you have no issues and we all want NBA JAM and Live. There are many more nicer words I can say but I'll end with I'm not the only one having issues with dunking. Now weather the new update fixed things for me to enjoy my NBA JAM style game I will find out later. Until then thanks for your input superstar off to the next thread to prove your supremacy.
