please explain this. Was there another update/patch release following the patch to fix deleted myplayers?

I was referring to the 1st patch...not the most recent one (assuming there was a patch on or after 9/20)

The only thing I’ve noticed is that the best method I had for grinding VC no longer works. So that’s fun.

They did something....My Play now online games I played last night are completely different now, almost night and day.....A few things I noticed...

-People now complete long down court passes with ease (before today, they couldn't)
-Computer defense is much tighter now, people are playing off the ball again
-I could really defend players on the ball, now they can just push me and get to the rim
-Contested layups go in at a much higher rate now

There are some other things I noticed, but those things irked me the most....I feel like I'm playing 2k17 again. I guess people complained and couldn't adjust to the gameplay, so through updates they've reverted a lot of things that were good back to how it was last year. Whats the point of pushing gameplay forward just to turn it around to appease the casuals....

Exactly my fear and it happened when ronnie streamed from NYC saying about shoes.. the neighborhood. .getting a haircut and how revolutionary. It was...I was already terrified. ..

Sad to say 2k is heading where EA was...don't get me wrong live isn't an amazing title.. but they rebuilt it from the core..so it will only get better.. where 2k..has NO reason for this...

Throw VC on top of this,then throw in them flying you tubers in and giving teasers..and hyping it..had writing on the wall..this game is losing its foundation ands being a gamers game...

Now it's turning into a game with a mixed identity. .are we pure SIM? Oh let's get greedy.and a attract younger crowds by adding shoes..haircuts..

Add the my neighborhood. .get the rpg GTA 5 type players looking to INTERACT...

What happened to the people who supported your game for all these years..you're crapping on them..not only to killing the game to appeal to everyone...but literally taking away any respect anyone has for them with their vulture like VC.. crap. .


This is a serious question..what exactly does ronnie 2k do? He has NO personality at all...I mean like paint drying from a wall.. you don't put that as the face of your game..for hyping..watching him in presentations. .and playing..is utterly, ,painful..hearing him for a hour talk about sneakers haircuts and how amazing it was to add to a game...made me want touch a wall 60 minutes of what easily could have been GTA 5 modded..is mean we got zero not an INCH of gameplay. .we only saw what the people who got special access. .recorded...

The mega event in NY..literally showed NOTHING..everytime someone was going to start they pointed the camera to another segment.

We have guys like daczar ..who shows defense and other other guys who show offense.. why not use these guys ..as the face of 2k..for presentation. ...I can think of about 4 quality people that know the game in and out..and can show everything. . And have a personality. .

I understand hype..but this was a punch in the face to everyone. .I've only played 3 games due to having a medical emergency. .but surprised if you have a game go to OT they don't charge you for VC... have a classic game ..that went 3OT...want to save it... give us VC..oh wait it's broken.. you lost everything. . Reset and wait for patch then it will be fixed.

We keep tolerating this..EA did this for years until people just stopped buying..now that EA is back..and not gouging like 2k...we need to put their feet to the fire..otherwise this will keep on happening .over and OVER.. can everyone agree the quality is getting worse and the VC is getting to a point of almost bribery?

Imagine kids 14-15 playing fighting with their parents to buy virtual sneakers..they need extra money for a virtual haircut...how about maybe achieving these things., by achieving them.,say ..go one on one with a legend.. beat him... and get a free haircut or sneakers...

You have legendary edition.even that's going to a point of complete greed.

It's not even about earn and reward anymore..which made 2k basketball so great. .now it's well the others players BOUGHT their player...so if you don't. .you basically Pony up or basically look for someone who's trying to DO IT legit.

Totally agree with all of this. I stick to franchise and play now offline so I never have to bother with anything VC related. The day they try to push VC on me in offline franchise or play now games will be the day I stop giving them my money. I pay the $60 every year to play some good sim basketball. I don't need any virtual haircut bs or lame myplayer story.

The only thing concrete that has been fixed is the VC glitch because god forbid people are able to get a lot of VC without paying for it.

Not even a lot.900 VC. 2k really showing me they don't give a damn about the customer. You think with all the complaints they would do something to fix their broken game and overpriced fake attributes and clothing. Nooooope.....

Operation sports has become so different then what it use to be. Just pointless rant after rant VC is what it is there are modes that don't use it at all if you have a problem paying for your mycareer either grind nba games till your players good enough or pay [emoji383]

Nah. I don't want to hear this. We have every right to let them know how we feel. "Grinding" is what I do every year and it isn't even really an option this year. That's how bad they have made it. It's okay to make constructive criticism but they aren't going to change the way VC works and if you play a 82 game season you will be able to get your player good enough complain about VC won't change unless people stop paying and that won't happen.

nobody has time to waste to play 82 games to get a weak $65,000 vc that is not even 1/3 needed to max your player. God forbid you wanna buy some cloches or animations.

To play the mode in be competitive in the park or pro-am you will have to pay 150 would of got you good enough from day one. If you don't want to pay I understand but that's the choice and most games are like this either in game currency or DLC

Most game are not like this. Virtual currency in some form (Free to play model) has been making it's way to full fledged $60 games, but in this game it's above and beyond anything you have ever seen!

"You will have to pay $150 to be competitive in the park or Pro-AM, and if you don't pay that's your fault" is basically what you just said.

$150, for one player?! God forbid, what if I want two, or three?! What if I want a PG, and then another guy as a slasher SF, and then I have to have a Center. I will have to nearly shed out $450 or spend a 1000 hours collectively (likely) to get all three of them to just 85 overall, for a game that I just spent $60 on?

That's not fun. It's ruining the game and making it so that people have to pay an absurd amount more just to have fun.
