I did notice CPU does not seem to call TOs anymore during a game....so there is that!

Re: NBA 2K18 Patch Coming in the next hour, patch notes to follow
How often do you think players in the NBA (not to mention a past scoring champion known for mid range jumpers) get a shot at the elbow with 6 feet+ of space? You really think they'd only hit 50% of those? (wow melo has a worse wide open elbow percentage than me???) once again you can keep reading NBA stats of ALL uncontested shots but if you think even a small percentage of those are elbow shots I have this great bridge I want to sell you!

Lmao this dude is a huge Melo fanboy. Here, educate yourself.
https://www.basketball-reference.com...anthoca01.html Try the 'Advanced' tab.
http://stats.nba.com/player/2546/shots-dash/ Try to understand how to read stats on the NBA site.
http://nbasavant.com/player.php?player_id=2546 Here is his shot chart. Look where he actually takes most shots lol.Comment

You think melo taking most of his shots near the elbow equates to him having those shots be wide open? You're telling me you think melo mostly takes or even part of the time (a fraction even) takes elbow jumpers without a defender within 6 feet? guessing you don't make time to watch basketball often
I understand how to read stats bud and far from a melo fan boy just not someone who thinks melo (or any good mid range shooter) will miss wide open (no defender within 6 feet) elbow shots if they were to happen in the NBA as they do in 2k. Next brain buster?

Apparently you're terrible at reading shot charts, though. [emoji13] TIL Melo makes every open shot, completely contradictory to what his shot chart and statistics say.
Peace, 'not' fan boy! ✌️Comment

Every = greater than 50% in your mind? No offense homie but you are super dull. That chart lists ALL Of his shots. Not just ones that aren't contested. The non contested percentages are not JUST at the elbow. This isn't hard to understand bud. But yeah I'm sure every (or even 20% of) jumper(s) melo (or ANY PROFESSIONAL PLAYER) takes at the elbow is with no defenders within 6 feet [emoji23]Last edited by Philbs; 09-23-2017, 11:00 PM.Comment

Him missing 3 in a row without a defender near him (DOESNT HAPPEN IN THE NBA DUDES JESUS) wouldn't happen no. You guys keep obsessing over this EVERY time part when I never have expected that. I just don't expect him to miss 50% of wide open elbow jumpers, no.... 2k and the NBA don't have the same factors. Jesus Christ. This isn't hard... online players don't play NBA defense lol.

NBA 2K18 Patch Coming in the next hour, patch notes to follow
Lol I love how you're like 'I don't want every shot to go in.' But then you're immediately like 'Online players don't play defense.' Essentially complaining that you expect to make every open shot because of that lack of defense. You're so flip floppy. Whats even funnier, is you trying to call me an idiot when you can't even read a shot chart. I linked you the shot chart (seriously is it so hard for you to look at the areas you're talking about and see the misses? It literally tells you how close a defender was) and the statistical breakdowns that show EXACTLY how close defenders are to him at certain distances to the basket so that you could educate yourself and stop being so ignorant. Those in glass houses shouldn't thrown stones, homie. [emoji85] Lmao. Man. These new guys are seriously bringing OS down.Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 Patch Coming in the next hour, patch notes to follow
It's not obsessing over patch notes itself..they state patch notes coming in 1 hour..it's DAYS later..of course they know they broke more than they fixed otherwise the patch notes would have been released.
If they were released, and people tested the patch and realise they with didn't address it enough or broke something else.
Then they readdress the same patch and finally address some of the issues, that fine..but don't LIE give a time frame for patch notes (which usually come before the patch or with it).
They went SILENT.
You don't do that.
It's about principal, not about what the fixed, because we already know through gameplay.

As 24th said, some of your are just itching to grab a pitchfork about something. It's like people just want to complain about something to make themselves feel important. It's REALLY not that deep. As speculated, it was probably a hotfix to address the My player deletions. Nothing more, nothing less.Comment

Re: NBA 2K18 Patch Coming in the next hour, patch notes to follow
They can do whatever they want. There's no law that REQUIRES them to release notes. Patch notes are a courtesy to the customer, so they can adjust their gaming experience accordingly. Companies mainly do patch notes to get feedback, so it's a win/win for the company and consumer.

NO one owes anyone anything in this world...but when a company who has taken your money..says patch notes to follow shortly or in an hour..and just go silent...
Guess where everyone ends up? The forums.
You say some are it itching to jump on something..and that's why you come to the forums..if the issued a tweet ..or did a mass email..or even address support tickets..in a HONEST way..then they wouldn't be in this situation.
I do agree some are just going to pile on,but majority have a gripe...be it small to you or I...they still have an issue..and forums are where you post them.
See I agreed with you to a point, you can agree that 2k put themselves in this position..while holding OUR money. Guarantee you if all vendors opened up a refund window..they would be on this asap,no one is holding them accountable, even if it's minor or major even if it's a Video game.
It's the way the world works, whoever hold you by balls..can do whatever they want.and people are left holding the bag or waiting..
For me ..all I would want is a simple reply addressed to the forums..or via tweet ANYTHING.. just assuring people to stay calm.(A few sentences letting people who the issues being addressed)
We know how this ends..when all is mainly addressed they will throw 10k VC at everyone..saying we're sorry.
They need to stop issuing statements about patches..without telling people what is going to be fixed since there's tons and tons of glitches.
AGAIN I agree some will gripe just for griping..but this is getting out of hand. There's major gameplay issues..were not talking socks and tattoos .. missing/working..but then again I may see that as small..but someone that may seem big because that's what they're into.
Honestly, Operation SPORTS. CAN make this simpler..make many threads. Of the known issues ..this way everyone can Go accordingly to that thread..otherwise you're going to have this...thousands of angry posts which I agree will make others even angrier which is beneficial to no one.
Just a request..can O.S make a few more threads addressing the other issues? It will help tremendously..for everyone..this is just a suggestion..until the chaos slows down.

It's really this simple. If it's still broke, then they probably didn't address it in this patch, and it will be addressed in a future patch. Getting patch notes now is so pointless, and it will only give people the opportunity to complain about what WASN'T fixed and to read the endless posts about how 2K Sports doesn't care about their customers.Comment

Flippy floppy? You're listing real stats where it's players not AI And someone controlling a player. This isn't complicated dude.... Me expecting melo to make more than 50% of wide open elbow jumpers once again does not equate to EVERY ONE. Bringing you down? I think your reading comprehension and logic skills are doing a good enough job at that.
Just to clarify. You think that when melo or 85-90% of the league misses a wide open elbow jumper in a half court set (which once again... rarely happens)50% of the time...? Right.
