If you want the post game to be difficult....it will be...its really as simple as that....it isn't though...

If you're shutting a guy down using hands up he's not that great in the post or familiar with any counters.

This guy was doing hands up too. And just look at how confused he looks.

Anybody finding it nearly impossible to make fade aways?

I mean with myplsyers. It’s frustrating seeing guys hitting crazy jump shots while being smothered but can’t hit a fadeaway when guys are thinking you’re gonna do an up and under.

I've made fadeaways. Coming from 2K16 where your shot feedback was essentially broke no matter how open you were(C + shots at the very best) I'm okay with this system.

              73 6"7" 230lbs Pure Glass Cleaner PF

I can hit fadeaways consistently the only shot i struggle with is hooks in 2k17 they were timed and it was much easier to score in the post

                  Agree 100%

"Hands up" is great against guys who try to plough in shoulder first every time. There a lot of moves that don't require that

It’s also good for guys that like to pump fake over and over trying to get you to jump but I agree, moves that get the ball handler moving will leave you standing in place with your hands up...

Hands up only works when your opponent is in (or very close to the) paint, where most of them centers will try to force a dropstep or sky hook or pump fake to try to make you slide out of position or even make you jump.
But if he is in that fadeaway, post hop step and post step back range, I'll just use my left stick and left trigger and then try to put my hands up when he is about to shoot..

When I do the spin to the baseline, I get this stumbling animation. Seems like it happens a bit too much. There should be some clean spin moves as well.

If I can get in deep enough position, all I do in the post is dropstep going baseline and it's almost always a score.

from what i see in this game the most effective centers just shoot 3's and slash to the rim, thats what this years game is built around, shooting 3's ,slashing to the rim and dribbling your opponent to death, and also that person isnt really using the hands up contest with the right analog stick most the time, they just are using L trigger defense. i mean, you guys rock in the post, but it just looks corny and unrealistic if you compared it to how the best post players actually played, i wouldnt say compared to now because they're aren't really any.

What bothers me the most are Body blocks and hook timing

Other than that i enjoy my post scorer.

That means it wasn't clean. This a ankle break spin animation that leaves the defender in the dust. But he needs to be leaning the wrong way.

                                For example

That's my one problem with getting deep position and I've been wonder what they could do about it. You always need to do a move first. So a player like Shaq can't get deep catch and then go straight up. Know what I mean?

I'm shocked at how negative you are to the post game and in this thread (not that I don't value your opinion). But saying "centers" just shooting 3's. Yea a user build a player a shooting big man and your complaining about that. Worst of all your saying there is no big man. Which is totally false in my opinion. The league is full of big man. They just play kind of different from the old school big man. Big man can still post up. But the face up big is now.

For instance these freak of natures....
                                <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/F9GCZf0X4-4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

And finally I've seen user using hands up on me to defend. It's usually game over. All you need to do is shoot fade aways. And it's like their not even there. Especially if you know the release.
