How to get rid of Deng in a sim way?
Yea the nets pick is too much for cousins.

As for Deng, I did something like him Zubac and a 2nd for Ajinca and Asik. They both have two years left but it's a lot easier to dump them. The issue with Deng is that we don't have the stretch provision, or at least I haven't seen it.

I was also looking at trading Clarkson and Randle to the spurs for Parker, a 1st and either Bertans or Derrick white.

Jeremy Lamb for Ben Mclemore is that a fair trade?
Also Kaminsky, Zeller and 2 1st round picks for Griffin who says no

After the Melo trade this weekend I'm not even sure we need this thread anymore....feel free to do your "LeBron for a 2021 2nd round pick" trades lolol.

Exactly. This is why I approve of the slightly lopsided trades most of the time since there are rarely trades where both teams are winners.

Yeah, I figured that out after the Boggie, Butler and PG13 trades over the past few months. I'm sure I'd be ashamed to go back to the 2K16 & 2K17 and see what I said those guys would go for. :o

What are fair (since "realistic" is thrown out of the window..even IRL) trades for Deng in first season? Willing to part with Kuzma, any pick, Clarkson?

Deng has one of the worst contracts in the NBA so in order to move him you'd likely have to either attach a protected 1st (with basically getting little to nothing in return) or take on a contract that's just as bad like Noah or Asik.

I am more than okay with getting nothing. Just planning on where to ship him off. Not okay with getting Noah in first season especially since I am aiming for 2 max players this summer.

Going to work on rebuilding the Lakers in either MYGM or MYLEAGUE. Any ideas for trades I should make with the Lakers that may help them to get a draft pick or something?

Great idea for a thread. I was just about to post this elsewhere, but this is the perfect spot for it!

I'm strongly considering a MyLeague with the Pelicans, and I've got two different trade scenarios for you guys. I may not do either because I like the challenge of playing against a loaded Western Conference without using an elite team, but I'm looking at possibilities to improve the team's overall depth and outside scoring. I already tested them and they'd be accepted, but let me know who you think gets the better of these deals and if they're realistic:

                      Trade #1
76ers get: DeMarcus Cousins, unprotected 1st rounder, and random wing player X
Pelicans get: Joel Embiid and Robert Covington

I think this one is pretty even considering the massive gamble on Embiid's health. Honestly, it could be a home run either way depending on that and whether Cousins signed long-term.

                      Trade #2
Bulls get: Solomon Hill and 2 unprotected 1st round picks
                      Pelicans get: Zach LaVine

2 unprotected 1st rounders for a guy coming off a torn ACL seems like way too much, but I loved using LaVine in the random game I played as the Bulls, and the Pelicans need more perimeter scoring and explosiveness.

LAL gets: Darren Collison 2nd rounder
                        Indy gets: Clarkson

Fair, realistic? I need veteran point guard who can score off the bench. Lopez and Ball take on way too big of a burden IMO. Just had both of them score 30-35 last game and still lost to Wizards by 27. It was awful. Lopez gets double teamed and KCP is just inconsistent as hell.

Also what can I get for Randle? One game he posts 17-13-4 statline and next game it's 5-6-1 with 3 TOs.

76ers won't ever trade Embiid (76ers fan here), but I'd say from a strictly value standpoint, that's fair. Dominant big for Dominant big, 1st round pick for an incredibly underrated SF is OK (and Cousins is better overall than Embiid so I suppose it evens out)

Why the hell would you trade 2 1sts for Lavine lol

To piggy back on this, I would agree that 2 1sts for Lavine is a massive overpay. The Bulls front office is one of the worst in the league and you could get away with trading a top-ten protected pick to them, plus an expiring, and I think they'd take it IRL.

Bulls aren't taking that IRL at all. Not after him basically being the center piece of the Butler trade. They've made a lot of terrible decisions but no way they take a pick with any protection for Lavine.

I disagree. Chicago is a team primed to make terrible decisions, especially for the bottom line. Any competent front office would definitely insist on virtually no protections, but Chicago ain't a competent front office, IMO.

If the Pelicans say take an undesirable contract back in the trade, Chicago would be even more inclined to do the deal -- saving money and winning league financial champion is catnip to them.

Considering the nature of Lavine's injury, too, I think Chicago would punt if he has a setback and send him on his way for a solid deal. If you want to get rid of the pick protections, that's fine in the end, but I really feel like you could toss a 1st rounder and an expiring at Chicago for Lavine and they'd be onboard with it if it served to save them money.
